RESERVE LOWERED: 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ C63 AMG 507 EDITION ESTATE

This 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG ‘Edition 507’ Estate is a thrilling yet practical family car, presented in excellent condition, and offered by the first and only owner from new. Its 6.2-litre M156 naturally-aspirated V8 engine produces 500bhp (507 PS), which is driven through the rear wheels via a seven-speed AMG SpeedShift MCT transmission. The odometer on this car shows 69,750 miles from new.

The M156 V8 is regarded as one of the most characterful and exciting engines in any contemporary road car, and in the Edition 507 it employs new connecting rods, a lightweight crankshaft and forged pistons from the SLS AMG. It can sprint from 0-62mph in just 4.3 seconds, and carry on to a top speed of 174mph.

As well as the uprated engine, the 507 was also equipped with ‘composite’ brake discs incorporating both aluminium inner and iron outer sections, and the aluminium AMG bonnet from the C63 Black Series. The package was denoted in the factory build specification with the ‘P61’ option code.

Completed at the factory in September 2013, this is understood to be one of only 21 ‘Edition 507’ Estate cars produced for the UK market, and one of fewer than five in Iridium Silver. It is fitted with the forged 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, which are unique to the Edition 507, the bodywork features the 507 vinyl graphics along the flanks, and the upgraded Quaife differential has also been installed.

This particular car is still covered by a Mercedes-Benz Extended Warranty until October 2020, which is fully transferable to a new private owner. The next keeper should have no problems using it during the icy winter months either, as it is sold with a separate set of 18-inch Mercedes-AMG alloy wheels, which are fitted with winter-rated Michelin Cross Climate tyres.

The body panels are in great condition, and the factory paintwork remains impressive. There are some very small stone chips to the front bumper and nose, and a couple of minor nicks in the vinyl decal strip ahead of the offside rear wheel arch. A fingertip-sized soft dent near the offside front door handle may be able to be removed with a paintless dent repair process, and there is also a small patch of paint bubbling on the rear tailgate. The alloy wheels are all in very good order, and there is no damage to any of the light lenses or exterior trim.

Its cabin is upholstered in full Designo Black leather, complemented by high-gloss black trim accents and Dinamica suede on the steering wheel and gear lever. There is no damage to the leather, and only slight wear on the driver’s seat bolster. The microfibre suede sections remain in good condition.

The electrically-adjustable front sport seats have three-stage heating, as well as memory settings for both driver and passenger. Above the seats is a power tilt-and-slide glass sunroof. Other cabin equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and the Comand infotainment system with satellite navigation.

This C63 AMG Edition 507 has full Mercedes-Benz main dealer service history from new. The last scheduled maintenance was in March 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Aberdeen, which was a full B service that included engine oil and oil filter renewal, along with replacement of the air filter and brake fluid. Its next annual visit is due imminently, so the seller will have it freshly serviced on handover to the next owner.

The two previous services took place in April 2018 and June 2017. All of the brake discs and pads were replaced in April 2018, at approximately 55,000 miles. The alloy wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres all round, in size 235/35 ZR19 at the front and 255/30 ZR19 at the rear.

Its most recent MOT test was carried out on 23 October 2019 at 68,494 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass. There were advisories regarding a minor oil leak from a rocker cover gasket and a loose exhaust heat shield, both of which have now been repaired, and some wear to a front suspension arm ball joint, which will be renewed before handover.

Accompanying the car are all of the original books, including the owner’s manual and stamped maintenance record, as well as numerous invoices pertaining to service work. The original bill of sale also remains with the car. Naturally, the original keys are also present, and the jack, tools and space-saver spare wheel are still stored under the boot floor.

Despite the staggering performance, this car is exempt from the ULEZ charge in London, so could be put into service as a fun daily driver wherever the next owner lives.
