2013 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 DOUBLE CAB 'KAHN'

This 2013 Land Rover Defender 110 Double Cab is a highly customised example of the 4x4 icon, benefitting from a number of upgrades courtesy of The Chelsea Truck Company / Kahn. Powered by a 2.2-litre inline-four turbocharged diesel engine coupled to a manual transmission, this example shows just 34,427 miles on the odometer.

First registered on 31 May 2013, this Double Cab 110 has been extensively modified by The Chelsea Truck Company, incorporating new wider front wings, a new X-Lander front grille, a revised front bumper, a custom sump guard, tubular side steps, and a twin Crosshair stainless steel exhaust system. Owned by the current vendor for one year, he states that the truck is simply “too nice” to use off-road as intended, and as a result he is offering it to another enthusiast to enjoy.

Today, the modified bodywork and the metallic black paint finish are in generally great condition, with a few noted dents around the car on the offside front wing and offside A-pillar. The rear of the Double Cab shows a few marks from a previous canopy trim, while there is a minor scratch that has been touched-up on the rear nearside door. The vendor also notes a small patch of rust on the inside top of the sill on the offside rear door, and some paint blemishes around the windscreen. Fitted as part of the upgrade package, the 18-inch Kahn Defender RS alloys look suitably aggressive combined with the body kit, with all five wheels being in excellent condition.

The interior has received a full re-trim as part of the enhancement by The Chelsea Truck Company, meaning that the entire cabin is now virtually unmarked. The upgrades inside the car also include a black flocked headlining and three-spoke steering wheel, which are also in excellent condition, as well as an Alpine head unit and LED light pack. All of the switchgear and electrics are reported to be working perfectly.

The most recent service took place in August 2020, during which time the standard oil and filter change was carried out. Prior to this, the previous two services were during December 2018 and April 2018, at 22,408 and 21,365 miles respectively. As part of the upgrade package, the rear load bed was also professionally covered with Speedliner protection, making this a genuinely usable custom Defender 110. It also features an adjustable tow bar with 8-pin electrics.

The V5C is present, along with both sets of original keys and alarm fobs. The original Land Rover book pack is present, including the service record that is partially stamped, with invoices for those services that have not yet been stamped. A full set of front and rear Land Rover all-weather rubber floor mats is also included.

The most recent MOT test was on 12 August 2020 at 33,818 miles, which resulted in a clean pass after the bonnet was secured and some lamps were fixed. The wheels are shod in nearly new BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tyres.

The Land Rover Defender is a car that enjoys continued popularity throughout the generations, thanks to its rugged reliability, off-road prowess, and extensive customisation options.
