2013 FERRARI F12 BERLINETTA

This Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is a wonderful example of the marque’s celebrated super GT, presented in a historic colour and with an attractive and lesser-seen interior specification. It is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.3-litre F140 FC V12, which sends up to 730bhp and 509lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an electronic differential. This allows the F12 to sprint from 0-62mph in an astonishing 3.1 seconds, 0-124mph in 8.5 and on to a top speed of more than 211mph. The odometer displays 24,980 miles from new.

First registered in June 2013, this right-hand drive UK-market F12 was specified from the factory with Grigio Ferro paintwork from Ferrari’s range of historic paint hues, paired with a two-tone Bordeaux Alcantara and Charcoal leather interior and carbon-fibre racing seats. The current owner acquired the car nearly two years ago.

The well-conceived specification also sees this example fitted with Scuderia wing shields, carbon-fibre sill covers and sill kick plates, and optional 20-inch lightweight forged Y-spoke alloy wheels – which provide an approximate 15kg saving of unsprung mass compared to the standard-fit Speedline items. Additional optional equipment includes the AFS lighting system, electrochromic mirrors, and a rear parking camera.

Today, the Pininfarina-designed bodywork presents in superb, undamaged condition, and the Grigio Ferro paintwork is in excellent order, having recently been polished. Paint protection film also guards the car’s front end and sills from minor scuffs, chips and scratches. The vendor does note that there are some light stone chips on the unprotected matt black sections of the front bumper, but these are minor, and are only noticeable upon close inspection. The lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels are in great shape and house Grigio Silverstone brake callipers, continuing the exterior colour theme.

In the cabin, the prevailing theme is one of Bordeaux and Charcoal, with grey leather covering the full dashboard, centre console, the main portions of the door cards and the carbon-fibre racing seats’ bolsters. This is accented by attractive Bordeaux stitching, which mirrors the Bordeaux Alcantara applied to the centres of the seats and door cards. Elsewhere, Charcoal Alcantara is applied to the sides of the transmission tunnel and the headlining, which also features a Bordeaux Alcantara centre section. There are Alcantara hand grips on the steering wheel, along with the carbon-fibre Driver Zone option with LED shift lights and carbon-fibre paddles.

There is no significant wear to the leather or Alcantara seat upholstery, and only minimal signs of use. The seller notes that there is one tiny nick in the upper section of the driver’s door card; however, this is less than 1cm in length, and is shown in the gallery below. Factory-fitted equipment includes dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, tyre pressure monitoring, cruise control, a Vodafone tracker system, and the high-power JBL sound system. There are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard, and no electrical faults.

Offered in outstanding mechanical order, this F12 has been serviced exclusively by Ferrari main dealers. Its most recent routine maintenance was an oil service, which was carried out in September 2020 at 24,926 miles by H.R. Owen.

The car’s latest MOT test was conducted on 18 June 2020 at 23,711 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no advisories. All four wheels are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres, which were fitted around 1,500 miles ago, and remain in excellent condition with plenty of usable tread remaining.

The car will be accompanied by its original service book, owner’s manual, battery charger and indoor cover.

Finished in a gorgeous yet discreet historic hue and with a well-judged interior colour combination, this F12 Berlinetta is a superb example of the sensational V12 grand tourer. Presented with a comprehensive main dealer service history and very well-cared for from new, it will make a stunning addition to any stable.
