2013 FERRARI F12 BERLINETTA

One of the most celebrated contemporary iterations of Ferrari’s front-engined V12 dynasty, this 2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is a low-mileage, high-specification example in a historic colour. It is powered by the 6.3-litre naturally aspirated F140 FC V12, producing 730bhp, coupled to the seven-speed dual-clutch F1 transaxle. Having covered just 10,800 miles from new, it presents superbly today.

This F12 was first registered on 23 August 2013 and was specified from the factory in the shade of Canna Di Fucile, a special option gunmetal colour from the ‘Historic’ colours list, paired with Charcoal leather Daytona seats and Giallo Fly stitching. The Ferrari 7-year service programme is in place until August 2020.

The considered specification sees Scuderia shields and the painted brake calipers on the carbon-ceramic brakes subtly continue the grey and yellow theme. The lip spoiler, rear diffuser wings, side skirts, and sill kick plates are all finished in carbon-fibre, as part of a substantial selection of options totalling some £80,000 on top of the list price. This also included the highly desirable electric front axle lift system.

As with the exterior, the interior benefits from extensive factory carbon-fibre options, as well as the desirable passenger display option – a fine way of attaching some figures to the other-worldly wail of the V12.

The car has had only two prior owners, and was reputedly used by HR Owen for display at the launch of the new F12 model. The current custodian has covered 700 miles with the car during his ownership.

The condition of the bodywork is as one would expect with a low-mileage, low ownership example. The paintwork is in excellent condition, with only a few very minor stone chips noted by the seller. The carbon-fibre sections on the front spoiler, side skirts and rear diffuser present very well. The five-spoke alloy wheels are unmarked, and are shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres with approximately 6mm of tread all round.

Moving inside, the interior is in fantastic condition. The extensive carbon-fibre trim includes the door card panels, air vent surrounds, steering wheel ‘Driving Zone’, transmission ‘bridge’, and centre console. There is also a carbon-fibre rear shelf moulding, and the Ferrari-branded sill covers are in great condition. Alongside the passenger display option, the driver is greeted with LED shift lights atop the steering wheel to add to the occasion, as well as carbon-fibre shift paddles.

The Charcoal leather is in superb order, with few signs of use, and was specified with the desirable ‘Daytona’ style seat stripes. The Giallo stitching throughout perfectly complements the upholstery, even extending to the accents for the luggage shelf straps and the quilted headlining. Factory-fitted equipment includes heated Daytona sport seats, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, front and rear parking cameras, and the 12-speaker, 1280-watt JBL Professional audio system.

The owner reports the car drives impeccably, with the huge reserves of power being effortlessly deployed through the slick dual-clutch gearbox. The car’s last scheduled maintenance was an annual service including oil, air filter and brake fluid change in October 2019. It most recent MOT test was on 27 September 2019 at 10,174 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories.

The two prior services to this were an annual service in August 2018 at 9,122 miles, and another annual service including auxiliary drive belt replacement in July 2017 at 7,939 miles. Other routine maintenance carried out recently has included replacement of an ABS warning sensor.

From the gorgeous historic paint colour to the extensive optional extras, coupled with the low mileage and superb overall condition, this F12 Berlinetta ticks every box.
