Lot Description

This Audi RS5 Cabriolet is sure to excite those buyers searching for an exciting and reliable open-top driving experience, and is presented in superb condition throughout. Featuring a 4.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine, it produces 444bhp and 317lb-ft of torque, driven through all four wheels via the seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission. The odometer shows just 12,000 miles from new.

First registered on 10 July 2013, this RS5 Cabriolet had one previous owner before being purchased by the current trade vendor. The car was specified in Prism Silver Crystal Pearl, with the three-layer fabric hood in contrasting red. Offering an impressive level of insulation from road and wind noise, the hood can open and close in 17 seconds, and at speeds of up to 31mph.

The exterior of the vehicle is reported to be in great condition with no significant imperfections noted by the owner. The 20-inch alloy wheels are also in pristine condition with contrasting black brake callipers to match the interior.

The interior is all original, trimmed in black leather with carbon-fibre trim inlays. All of the upholstery remains in very good order, commensurate with the low mileage. The cabin has all the hallmarks of solidity and quality that you would expect from an Audi. It also has a decent sized boot, which means it is more than capable of swallowing enough luggage for a long weekend away. The rear seats also fold down via a boot lever creating an even larger loading area.

This RS5 Cabriolet comes with tri-zone climate control, and heating for all four seats. There is also a seven-inch display with sat-nav, Bluetooth audio and phone streaming, a CD/DVD player, 20 GB hard drive and a pair of SD card slots – all of which remains in working order with no faults. It also has the Bang and Olufsen audio system, which was an optional upgrade at time of purchase. Audi’s Dynamic Select Drive with Sport mode enables selection of various powertrain and suspension settings.

The most recent service was in April 2019 with Blackburn Audi at 9,500 miles where an oil service was carried out. Prior to that, a routine service was done at 4,756 miles at Wolds View Garage in York in March 2017. The car remains in its original and unmodified specification, and is reported to be in fine mechanical health.

The most recent MOT test was on 12 April 2019 at 9,296 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The tyres have around 4mm of tread remaining, so remain perfectly legal, but will benefit from replacement in the not too distant future. The next MOT is not due until 11 November 2020 due to the government’s six-month extension.

The vehicle comes with a record of the two services mentioned, and the vendor is endeavouring to track down the date and mileage of its first service. The original tools are also present, along with the wind deflector, car jack and two sets of keys.

In an age of downsizing and turbocharging, a naturally aspirated V8 engine might seem extravagant, but this Audi RS5 Cabriolet is a superb open-top performance car with a great blend of pace, refinement, and everyday usability that makes it an appealing prospect as a daily driver or weekend car alike.
