2013 ASTON MARTIN V8 VANTAGE

This 2013 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is an unmolested example of a handsome contemporary performance car, with comprehensive maintenance history and a desirable factory specification. Under the bonnet is a 420bhp 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V8, driven through the desirable six-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows 54,972 miles from new.

The V8 Vantage was the first car to use Aston Martin’s second-generation VH chassis architecture, featuring lightweight materials throughout much of the structure and body. The 4.7-litre car was upgraded from 2012, featuring quicker steering and the more powerful brakes from the Vantage S model, as well as wider wheels and tyres. The exterior was also enhanced with aerodynamic features similar to the V12 Vantage, including a full-width front splitter, wider sills, a rear diffuser, and a more pronounced ‘ducktail’ boot lid spoiler.

First registered in January 2013, and supplied by Stratstone Aston Martin in Tyne and Wear, this V8 Vantage has just two previous registered keepers on the log book. The seller acquired the car in December 2014, and has since enjoyed some 49,000 miles behind the wheel, accounting for the vast majority of its mileage.

The bodywork presents in good condition, with no accident damage or dents in any of the panels. There is some bubbling in the Onyx Black paint around the door handles and wing mirror struts - shown in the gallery - which is a fairly common foible of this era of Vantage. A few small scratches are also present around the body, commensurate with the age and mileage. Its bonnet and side strake grille meshes are finished in Magnum Silver, while there are clear tail light lenses. The 19-inch V-spoke alloy wheels are in generally good order, with only a few blemishes and some more noticeable kerbing marks on the front wheels. Complementing the mesh grilles and wheels, the brake calipers are also painted silver.

In the cabin, the seats, dashboard panel, and door cards are upholstered in full-grain black leather, with white contrast stitching throughout. There are no rips or tears in the trim, and only modest wear on the common areas such as the seat bases and bolsters. In general, it is in excellent condition, presenting like a car with half the mileage in most places. The headlining is trimmed in light grey suede, and there is a high-gloss Piano Black inlay on the dashboard.

Factory-fitted equipment includes heated front seats, a heated rear screen, and power folding and heated door mirrors. There is also a pop-up media screen with satellite navigation, Bluetooth, tyre pressure monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and a 160-watt audio system with six-disc CD changer.

This V8 Vantage is in fine fettle, boasting a comprehensive Aston Martin main dealer history from new. Its last scheduled maintenance was in February 2020 at 54,002 miles, which consisted of an annual service carried out by Aston Martin Belfast. Prior to this, it was seen and serviced in February 2019 at 42,391 miles, and in January 2018 at 32,950 miles - both by Aston Martin Belfast, and with invoices on file.

The most recent MOT test in Northern Ireland was on 11 December 2019, and the seller notes that there were no advisories or warnings on this inspection. The wheels are fitted with Bridgestone Potenza tyres in size 245/40 R19 at the front and 285/35 ZR19 at the rear. They were fitted within the last two years, and remain in very good condition with plenty of tread remaining.

This Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a smart example of one of the marque’s most beautiful coupes. It has been driven and enjoyed, and the seller states that it has been very reliable during more than five years of ownership. While there are a few minor cosmetic jobs that could be attended to in due course, this is a cherished sports car with excellent maintenance history, which is certain to delight its next owner.
