2013 ASTON MARTIN V12 VANTAGE - MANUAL

This Aston Martin V12 Vantage is a refined and well-maintained British GT car, finished in a timeless factory colour scheme and with low mileage. Its engine is the potent 5.9-litre naturally aspirated AM11 V12, which produces 510bhp and drives the rear wheels via the engaging six-speed manual transmission. The odometer displays only 36,500 miles from new.

First registered on 6 September 2013, the car has only two previous keepers, and is now offered for sale by its current owner, who has cared for it for the last four years. They are only offering it for sale now as they have loved the V12 Vantage experience, and are now fortunate enough to be adding a special edition V12 Vantage S to their garage.

The bodywork of this V12 Vantage presents very well, with straight, dent-free panels. While the seller notes that the front bumper was damaged in May 2018, it was replaced rather than repaired. The Onyx Black paint finish is in excellent order, having been fully detailed by KDS Keltec in June 2018, including the application of a Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic coating, which is backed by a conditional nine-year guarantee. The car was then re-polished by KDS in July 2020, when the paint protection film covering the nearside rear quarter panel was replaced.

Today, the seller describes the paintwork as having a close to new appearance, with almost no scratching or swirl marks. There is some very minor bubbling to the finish where the wing mirrors join the doors shown in the photos, though this is currently being repaired under warranty. A small area on the nearside wing mirror arm requires touching in due to a reaction in the paintwork, and there are some minor stone chips. All of the carbon-fibre exterior trim is in excellent condition.

The car rides on a set of 10-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, which are in good shape having recently been refitted in place of winter wheels and tyres (not included in the sale), which the current owner uses during the colder months. There are some small blemishes in the clearcoat covering the wheels’ diamond-cut faces and kerb scratches on the edge of the nearside front rim, but these are minor issues and could easily be corrected via professional refurbishment in due course.

In the cabin, most of the interior surfaces are clad in smooth Obsidian Black leather with white stitching, including the dashboard, centre console, door cards and electrically adjustable seats, which present very well, save for some minor wear to the driver’s seat, and small marks on the driver’s door card, commensurate with the car’s age.

The light grey Alcantara headlining is in good order, as are the piano black and gloss carbon-fibre trim items. Factory-fitted equipment includes electrically adjustable seats with memory settings for driver and passenger, climate control, cruise control, and the infotainment system with satellite navigation. The seller reports no faults with any of the car’s buttons, switches or electrical items, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

Routinely serviced, this Aston Martin is in fine mechanical condition, with its most recent full service being carried out in July 2020 at 33,757 miles by Aston Martin Sevenoaks. Prior to this, Aston Martin Sevenoaks replaced the engine oil, oil filter and the front brake hoses in May 2019, and carried out an oil service and replaced the front number plate assembly in April 2018. The seller had independent Aston Martin specialist Pugsley and Lewis, Beckenham, repair the exhaust flap and replace the exhaust mountings in December 2020.

The car has benefitted from being kept under Aston Martin’s extended warranty programme during the vendor’s ownership. The V12 Vantage has had a number of components replaced under warranty, namely the rear quarter lights, tyre pressure monitoring system, clutch (partial warranty cover) and gearbox connecting wires; the latter two during 2020. The newly replaced clutch should provide peace of mind regarding major expenditures.

The car remains under Aston Martin’s extended warranty until 28 August 2021, which may be transferrable to the next owner. This V12 Vantage’s last MOT test was conducted on 11 December 2020 at 35,312 miles, resulting in a clean pass with no advisories.

All four wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres and the 255/35 ZR19 front items were recently replaced; the seller states that the 295/30 ZR19 rears are close to the legal limit for tread but will be replaced ahead of sale.

Accompanying the car are its owner’s handbook and stamped service book, plus copies of all invoices for work carried out during the seller’s four years of ownership.
