2013 ABARTH 695 ASSETTO CORSE EVO

This Abarth 695 Assetto Corse Evo is an exhilarating race-ready machine, and a very low mileage example, built at the factory in Turin with a total track focus. Under the bonnet is a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing an impressive 151kW/205hp, coupled to a six-speed sequential transmission to drive the front wheels.

Designed and built as the ultimate incarnation of the popular Fiat 500, this Abarth 695 Assetto Corse is a sister car to the class winning factory-backed machines from the 2014 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-hour. Finishing an impressive 18th overall in the field of exotic GT cars, the Abarth in that race survived the day-long torture test on the famed Mount Panorama circuit among substantially more expensive company.

Looking every bit the mini race car, the exterior is finished in Abarth White and fitted with a full body kit including a deep front splitter, side skirts, and a rear wing which the owner painted in the colours of the Italian flag. The owner advises that there are some minor stone chips on front bar and bonnet, a cracked left rear light, a minor scratch on the driver's door, and a scrape on the rear bumper. The front splitter has been replaced and the front guards have some damage due to tyre rubbing; all of which is certainly nothing too surprising with a car exclusively designed for circuit work.

Inside, the purpose-built race car presents very well and is fitted with an FIA-approved roll cage, Sabelt harnesses and restraints, as well as a fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell. The contrasting black race seat and steering wheel are in excellent condition, with an AiM race dash fitted that also allows for data acquisition. The vehicle comes supplied with the data transfer cable for the telemetry, as well as full operating and service manuals.

The performance is outstanding with a weight of just 940kg and a power output of 151kW/205hp arriving at 6500rpm. One of the most impressive features of the car is the bespoke six-speed sequential gearbox by French manufacturer, Sadev. The suspension is fully adjustable front and rear, the wheels are unique-width lightweight OZ Racing forged alloys, and braking is provided by large cross-drilled and self-ventilated discs with Brembo calipers at the front.

Having been in possession of the car for the last four-and-a-half years, the vendor has serviced the vehicle with new engine oil and filter, gearbox oil, and a full brake fluid flush prior to each race meeting – using only Motul products. New front wheel bearings have been fitted every 500-750km, including new front hubs on every second change. The last service was conducted 12 months ago, with all four tyres replaced and all fluids and filters will be changed prior to the delivery of the car to the new owner.

This Abarth 695 Assetto Corse Evo presents an exceptional opportunity to own an Italian race car that is ready to turn the key and hit the track. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to the Sadev six-speed sequential gearbox is a proven combination, and one which is much more approachable than some overly aggressive racing setups. Whether you plan to use the car for the occasional track day or race in a production class series, the 695 Assetto Corse Evo will make you feel like a championship-winning touring car driver.
