2012 MINI COOPER S (R56) - JCW AERO KIT

This 2012 Mini Cooper S is a well-maintained example of the marque’s acclaimed hot hatch, which has been enhanced with the JCW Aero Kit. Powered by the 181bhp ‘N18’ 1.6-litre turbocharged inline-four which drives the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, this example shows just 33,000 miles on the odometer.

First registered in September 2012, the vendor has enjoyed eight years of ownership with this ‘pocket rocket’, but is now offering it to another enthusiast to enjoy. Always maintained by Sytner Mini of Slough, the service history is comprehensive, and the car presents in fantastic condition throughout.

The Eclipse Grey paintwork is all original, and is in excellent shape, showing only a very light smattering of stone chips on the front bumper. The wheels were recently refurbished by Sytner in February 2021, meaning they are in pristine condition. Overall, the car’s appearance is very impressive, and arguably belies its age.

Inside, the story is very much the same as outside, with the interior remaining in great condition throughout, with minimal signs of wear. The bottom of the door cards and the lower seat bolsters are starting to show signs of wear; however this hardly detracts from what is otherwise a very well-cared for interior. Everything works as intended, with no warning lights or other issues with the infotainment or gauges.

Serviced by Sytner Mini of Slough throughout its life, the stamped maintenance record with this car is comprehensive. The last visit took place during February 2021, during which time a standard service was carried out, in addition to the aforementioned wheel refurbishment. Prior to this, the oil and filter changes have been carried out as per the recommended servicing intervals.

The last MOT took place on 9 March 2021, and resulted in a pass with a minor advisory for a nearside rear wheel bearing having slight play. New front tyres were supplied by Mini during March 2021 and the rear tyres have around 6mm of tread.

The Mini Cooper S is a car with a storied nameplate, and a model that still impresses with every iteration. Presented in absolutely fantastic condition throughout and with a superb service history, this sprightly hot hatch is in great shape and is ready to enjoy immediately.
