2012 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA - RUBICON STYLE

This 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is a practical and purposeful 4x4, modified by Storm Customs to Rubicon appearance and with enhanced off-road agility. Under the bonnet sits a 2.8-litre CRD engine producing around 197bhp, coupled with an automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 54,044 miles from new.

First registered in May 2012, this Wrangler has two previous keepers on the log book, with the third keeper acquiring it in January 2013. It is now offered for sale by the trade.

The robust bodywork of this Jeep Wrangler is presented in good order. Its white paintwork is believed to be entirely original, and is described by the owner as being in generally excellent condition. Now equipped the Rubicon style bodykit, it has durable matt black plastic wheel arches, with the same finish used for the replacement front grille and headlight panel, which is enhanced with a white ‘light brow’.

Its body sits on new sport suspension with a 2.25-inch lift kit, and it is also equipped with rock slider bars, a castor correction kit for the lift setup, a HD tyre carrying kit, Vortex front LED headlights and LED tail lights. The Jeep rides on 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, finished in matt black, which are in superb order.

Moving inside, this Wrangler is fitted with aftermarket Corbeau sport front seats, with the brand’s logo embossed onto the headrests. These present with some very light creasing commensurate with the mileage, but are in excellent overall condition. The vendor notes the rear seats have also been re-trimmed to match the fronts. There are some marks and scuffs around the interior trim as you would expect given the mileage – with some heavier wear on the load bay floor – but overall the cabin still presents smartly. All of the switchgear appears in good order, with no electrical faults reported and no warning lights present on the dashboard.

The vendor reports that the car has had an engine oil and filter service fairly recently, and they will be able to share more details on the history during the auction. There is one stamp in the maintenance record, but the other services are evidenced by invoices in the history file.

The most recent MOT test was on 17 April 2020 at 49,757 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The car initially failed a test earlier on the same day due to an indicated fault with the anti-lock braking system, though this issue was resolved, and the vehicle passed on a re-test later the same day. The wheels are wrapped with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tyres, which remain in excellent condition all round.

Accompanying the vehicle is a leather folder containing the original owner’s manual and service book, though the vendor notes all services after 2014 have been recorded via invoice only. A number of receipts from Storm Jeeps are also present, pertaining to the Rubicon-style conversion work.

This 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is a superb tribute to the more rugged Rubicon model, which has been upgraded not just aesthetically, but also with genuine performance-enhancing suspension revisions and off-road kit. A capable and stylish go-anywhere icon, this Wrangler is presented in good order throughout and would be ready to serve as a fun daily driver or an active off-roader.
