2012 FISKER KARMA ECOSPORT

KEY FACTS

• A smart example of the rare hybrid sports saloon, with a high factory specification and low mileage.

• A pair of 161hp electric motors power the car, with a supporting 260hp turbocharged 2.0-litre Ecotec inline-four acting as a generator to supply electricity when needed.

• Originally delivered to the US, the vehicle was imported from New York to the UK during 2013, after which a full UK IVA test was carried out and any required modifications were made. It was then registered to the vendor, who remains the only UK owner.

• While it is registered in the UK, this example has been maintained by Kroymans Fisker of Hilversum in the Netherlands during the current ownership.

EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

• From the factory, this Karma EcoSport was handsomely specified. Finished in Deep Ocean Blue, it has a tri-tone interior, which also includes the unusual ‘Sunken Oak’ trim, which used wood that was recovered from the bottom of Lake Michigan.
• The eco-conscious manufacturing methods also include sustainably manufactured leather and even soy-based ‘bio fibre’ seat foam. Recycled glass particles are also embedded in the final coat of paint.
• Included with the vehicle is the full set of Fisker manuals, numerous US-specific handbooks, owner’s manual, quick reference guide, PDF printout of the service history, UK and European charging cables and a copy of the European sales brochure.
• The Fisker is classified as an electric vehicle with DVLA, which means it currently attracts zero road tax, and is exempt from both the Congestion Charge as well as any ULEZ charges.
• It is car number 1,384 of the original 2,035 built. The appropriate registration ‘F19 KER’ is included in the sale.

CONDITION

• While it was being moved by a transport company in February 2021, the front bumper was dislodged and the offside front wheel was nicked when it was caught on a kerb. However, both items were repaired by a local prestige body shop.
• The Deep Ocean Blue paintwork is in very good condition, with only a few minor stone chips to speak of, along with a small scuff on the front between the two grilles, a small scratch to the front offside edge of the bonnet, a scuff on the nearside door mirror edge and a small patch of surface corrosion on the rear offside window trim.
• It has previously had minor corrosion around the door handles and one wheel arch rectified by both Kroymans Fisker as well as Aston Martin Newcastle.
• The vendor notes that the chrome trim on the lower nearside rear is marked, but an original Fisker replacement item is included with the sale of the vehicle.
• Inside, the cabin is in very good condition overall, with a small scuff to the outer edge of the driver’s seat base, along with the typical wear to the outer driver’s seat bolster. In addition to this, the driver’s door inner jamb is slightly scuffed.
• The tyre pressure sensor warning light is currently illuminated due to the vehicle’s lack of use. The vendor states that the light will extinguish itself after driving over 30mph for around 10-15 minutes.
• The most recent MOT test took place on 02 February 2021, with no issues, and the tester noting only the presence of factory-fitted undertrays.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The most recent service took place in May 2018 at 16,232 miles and was carried out by Kroymans Fisker of Hilversum, Holland. This was a routine service carried out according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• All service and maintenance work over the last seven years has been carried out by the same Fisker dealer, including any necessary updates or manufacturer warranty work.
