This 2012 Audi S3 Black Edition is a smart example of the renowned performance hatchback, presented in excellent mechanical order and with a superb factory specification. Under the bonnet sits the 2.0-litre TFSI engine producing 305bhp, coupled with Audi's S-Tronic automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer currently indicates 59,314 miles from new.

First registered in December 2012, this S3 was delivered new to an Audi dealership in Kidlington, the car's only previous registered keeper, where it was used as a demonstration vehicle. It was purchased by the vendor in September 2013 at around 5,000 miles and has now been in their possession for just over seven years.

The bodywork presents in good condition for its age, and while there is a noticeable dent in the offside front wing, the vendor believes this should be a good candidate for a paintless dent removal (PDR) process. There are also some light scratches to the offside sill and door bump strip, though these are only noticeable under closer inspection. The white paintwork is entirely original, and despite the aforementioned light scratches, presents with an even shine throughout. The vehicle rides on a set of 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which the vendor notes have all met the occasional kerb, so would now benefit from some refurbishment.

In the cabin, the seats are trimmed with black leather, which is described as being in excellent condition. The vendor has indicated some slight wear to the driver’s seat bolsters, though this is entirely commensurate with the mileage, and the upholstery appears to be in excellent condition overall. A light scuff can be seen on the glovebox lid, and while the screen of the Audi Navigation Plus system presents with some minor scratches, everything is reported to work as it should and no electrical issues have been detected.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in January 2020 at 54,972 miles, where technicians at Crendon Motors in Aylesbury carried out a long-life engine oil and filter service. Prior to this, Crendon Motors carried out an engine oil and filter change in August 2018 at 48,745 miles and an oil change in November 2017 at 38,859 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 5 February 2021 at 59,314 miles, which resulted in a pass with only one advisory regarding worn rear tyres, which will need to be replaced very soon. The day before, the car initially failed due to a cracked nearside rear coil spring, which was subsequently replaced. The wheels come wrapped with a set of Falken Ziex tyres, which evidently need replacing at the rear, but still have around 7mm of tread at the front.

Accompanying the vehicle is the original dealership literature, user guides and service book, along with a folder of corresponding service invoices.

This Audi S3 Black Edition is a well-maintained example of a consummate all-rounder, presented in sound cosmetic condition and with a comprehensive service history.
