2011 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF (MK6) GTI - 25,000 MILES

An excellent and low-mileage example of a renowned hot hatch, this VW Golf GTI combines impressive performance with superb everyday usability and reliability. Under the bonnet is the 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four, sending 207bhp to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows just 25,052 miles from new.

First registered in September 2011, this has three previous registered keepers on its log book. The seller acquired it around eight years ago, enjoying some 21,000 miles behind the wheel since then.

Presented in very smart condition, the bodywork is finished in Candy White paintwork, which has a smooth and glossy appearance across the entire car, although there is a small ding in the nearside rear wheel arch and a mark on the rear bumper. The car rides on its factory original 17-inch ‘Monza’ five-spoke alloy wheels which are in great shape, with only a small kerb scratch visible on the nearside front rim.

In the cabin, black and plaid fabric cover the seats, with only minimal signs of wear and absolutely no damage. The high-gloss trim sections and other plastics have also been very well cared-for and are punctuated by a sculpted, flat-bottomed steering wheel and sporty gear knob which are finished with red accents, reflecting the front grille’s trademark stripes. All of the electrical items, including the integrated infotainment and dual-zone climate control systems, are described by the seller as working without fault, and the car’s various dials and buttons appear to be in excellent condition.

This Golf GTI’s last scheduled maintenance was carried out by VW specialist CLC Sussex on 9 March 2020 at 25,017 miles, when the engine oil and filter were changed. Prior to this, CLC Sussex carried out a service on in June 2017 at 21,500 miles, changing the oil and brake fluid. In January 2015, the car received a major service at VW specialist Camspec, with the odometer reading 16,716 miles. This included an oil change, replacement of the brake fluid, and a new dust and pollen filter.

Its last annual MOT test was carried out on 17 September 2019 at 23,204 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The car’s wiper blades were changed at the same time. The wheels are fitted with 225/45 R17 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A summer tyres which are in fair condition, however the seller notes that they may need replacing in the near future. The car’s original space-saver spare wheel and tyre are still present below the boot floor.

Included with the car is its original VW-branded document holder, containing its service history booklet and past MOT certificates. The car’s two keys are also present, as well as the original tools, consisting of a jack, wheel brace, towing eye and screwdriver, which are housed in a foam holder inside the spare wheel.

Presented in very smart condition and with low mileage from new, this 2011 VW Golf GTI is an extremely appealing example of one of the most capable hot hatches.
