This 2011 Range Rover Autobiography Black is a superb example of the limited-edition model, built to commemorate the marque’s 40th anniversary and presented in excellent condition throughout. It is powered by the 4.4-litre TDV8 engine producing 313bhp, coupled with a smooth automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates around 109,500 miles from new.

One of only 700 units produced, the Autobiography Black edition features a bespoke colour combination, as well as 20-inch diamond turned alloy wheels, a unique grille with Titan mesh, bespoke side vents and body-coloured door handles. Inside, this car features the Ivory and Jet leather colour scheme, as well as Grand Black lacquer veneers, illuminated sill tread plates and ‘Autobiography Black’ badging.

Beyond the cosmetic enhancements, this limited edition also featured a raft of options as standard, including the 1200-watt 19-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, rear climate control with reclining heated and cooled seats, ‘winged’ headrests, rear double glazing, and adaptive headlights. First registered in October 2010, this SUV has six previous keepers and is now offered for sale by the trade.

The bodywork of this Range Rover presents particularly well, with smooth panels and flush shut lines, while the Barolo Black paintwork is in excellent condition with only very minor stone chips around the front end. The vendor also notes that the bumper has benefitted from a respray. All of the body trims are in great shape, and the 20-inch alloys are in superb order with no kerbing damage.

Inside, the two-tone Jet and Ivory leather upholstery is in very good condition, with the vendor reporting only light wear to the Ivory base of the driver’s seat, though there are no tears or holes in any of the leather. The other seats have unsurprisingly seen far less use, and are in excellent order for the mileage. Its Grand Black lacquer inlays are all in superb order, lending the cabin an even more sophisticated ambience, and all of the switchgear is reported to work as it should, with no electrical faults. The rear seats even have entertainment screens housed in the back of the front headrests.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in December 2020 at 109,440 miles, where technicians carried out a full annual service. The most recent MOT test was on 23 October 2020 at 109,358 miles, which resulted in a pass with just one advisory to monitor wear to the offside rear tyre. It is understood that this has now been rectified, as there is now 6-7mm of tread remaining on all four tyres, with Accelera items fitted at the front and Pirelli tyres on the rear axle.

This Range Rover Autobiography Black is a rare special-edition SUV, which boasts a particularly refined aesthetic and an extensive factory specification. With a cosmetic appearance that arguably belies its mileage, this is a very smart luxury 4x4 that is ready to be pressed into service as a sumptuous daily driver, or could simply be kept for special events.
