• A striking example of the Land Rover Defender 110 XS Utility, reimagined by Strange Automotive.
  • Under the bonnet is a 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 119bhp to all four wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.
  • This Defender has been extensively restored and resprayed in a style reminiscent of the iconic 1980’s Series III 110.

  • The car is finished in metallic brown with cream Safari roof and mirror casings, and rides on the classic 16-inch ‘Wolf’ steel wheels, also finished in cream.
  • The cabin is trimmed in brown leather with cream stitching and features a check-patterned cloth to the seat centres, door cards and front centre armrest.
  • The exterior specification includes alloy external door hinges and mesh-filled side vents, full LED exterior lighting including headlights, classic ‘Land Rover’ mud flaps, skid plate, backdated bonnet grille, and colour-coded rear step.
  • Internally, the car features an Alpine CD stereo with Pioneer speakers, aluminium door handles, electric front windows, and leather detailing across the instrument binnacle and passenger-side grab handle.
  • The car is accompanied by its original owner’s manual, various invoices relating to the car’s service history, and two keys with an immobiliser fob.

  • There is no known bodywork damage. The car has been resprayed in a metallic brown shade during its restoration.
  • The resprayed paintwork is in excellent condition overall, presenting with a rich shine. Only a few minor blemishes are present, visible upon close inspection. These include an imperfection next to the driver’s door, some stone chips to the front end of the car and on the offside rear wheel arch, a minor indentation on the nearside rear door, and a small scratch on the nearside rear quarter.
  • The re-trimmed leather cabin is very smart, with only some light scuffing on the passenger side of the dashboard and footwell, and a couple of minor marks on the driver’s door card.
  • There are no known mechanical or electrical faults.
  • The most recent MOT test was conducted on 24 July 2021 at 64,101 miles, when the car recorded a clean first-time pass.

  • This Defendert was most recently serviced in October 2020 at 63,555 miles by Strange Automotive, who carried out an engine oil and filter change.
  • There are a number of other service invoices supplied with the car.

Having been thoughtfully restored, resprayed and retrimmed, this iconic Land Rover Defender 110 XS Utility is a highly unique creation. Presenting in excellent overall condition and in sound running order, this one-off Defender would make for a rugged and capable daily driver, faithful off-roading companion, or unusual addition to any collection.
