2011 FERRARI 458 ITALIA

This Ferrari 458 Italia is a superb mid-engined supercar, boasting a rare factory colour scheme and outstanding annual service history. Under the engine lid is the lauded 562bhp 4.5-litre naturally aspirated V8, coupled to the seven-speed dual-clutch F1 automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 20,743 miles from new.

The car left the factory finished in Grigio Ferro metallic, with an interior of Stone Grey leather. Its cabin is accented by red piping, contrasting stitching, and red seat belts; while the equipment includes electrically adjustable and heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera. First registered on 4 May 2011, this 458 has four previous keepers.

Today, its bodywork remains in excellent condition, with no evidence of any prior damage or repairs. The Grigio Ferro paint is believed to be entirely original, and the vendor notes only a small stone chip on the bonnet, and another on the offside front air vent winglet. There is also some slight flaking of the red crackle finish on the intake plenums. It rides on 20-inch five-spoke satin black alloy wheels, which remain in very good order. The vendor notes that it has been treated to a detailing session and machine polish to keep the exterior looking smart.

In the cabin, its Stone Grey leather is an unusual but complementary choice, and its bright red accents give the interior a suitably racy ambience. The factory specification also includes a leather-trimmed bulkhead panel, as well as a diamond quilted leather headlining. There is some minor wear on the driver’s seat outer bolster, but overall it still looks superb for a car that will celebrate its 10th birthday this year. There are no electrical faults, and no warning lights present.

The comprehensive annual maintenance history features exclusively Ferrari main dealers and a specialist, with the last workshop visit taking place in November 2020 at 20,257 miles with Verdi Ferrari in London. This comprised a routine engine oil and filter change. Prior to this, recent services were in August 2019 at 18,363 miles, and in June 2018 at 15,006 miles. The most recent MOT test was on 13 November 2020 at 20,257 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories whatsoever. The tyres are reported to be in good condition, and appear to be date-coded to 2017 on the front axle and 2015 at the rear.

Accompanying the car are all of the original handbooks, plus the warranty and maintenance booklet. There is also a Ferrari car cover, a spare air filter, and the original tyre inflator kit.

This Ferrari 458 Italia remains a sensational modern supercar, with its howling naturally aspirated V8 and pin-sharp driving dynamics delivering outstanding performance and theatre. This car features a rare colour scheme, and also benefits from a comprehensive annual maintenance history. One of the all-time great driver’s cars to come out of the gates at Maranello, this would make a fine addition to any collection, or could be an ideal entry point to contemporary Ferrari ownership.
