2011 FERRARI 458 ITALIA

This Ferrari 458 Italia is a terrific example of the marque’s mid-engined supercar, with a superb factory specification and low mileage. It is powered by a 4.5-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 562bhp, coupled to Ferrari’s seven-speed dual-clutch F1 automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer currently indicates 18,259 miles from new.

First registered in March 2011, this 458 Italia has five previous keepers on the log book, with the sixth acquiring it in May 2018. It is now offered for sale by the trade.

The bodywork of this Ferrari 458 is reported to be in excellent condition, with flush shut lines and no suggestion of any prior damage. The Giallo Triplo Strato paintwork – a circa £20,000 option from the factory – is in superb condition, with the vendor reporting the front bumper has recently been repainted in order to remove stone chips. The front end has subsequently been fitted with a layer of PPF to guard against future blemishes. All of the light lenses and body trims are in good order, including the carbon-fibre side skirts and the triple exhaust tips, which now feature remote adjustable valves. The car rides on the original 20-inch five-spoke forged alloy wheels, which have some kerbing damage on the offside front rim, but otherwise present well.

Moving inside, the Nero leather and Alcantara covering the carbon-fibre racing seats remains in great shape, with the same trim extending across the door cards and dashboard, accented by yellow stitching. There is some minor creasing to the seat bolsters from occupants entering and exiting the car, but overall the cabin remains in superb condition. All of the main contact points are in good order, and the car features carbon-fibre trim for the sill cover plates, dashboard trim, air vent surrounds, steering wheel Driver Zone, and the shift paddles. All of the switchgear works as it should, with no electrical gremlins or warning lights.

The last service was undertaken in August 2020 at 16,876 miles, where technicians at Graypaul Ferrari in Birmingham changed the engine oil and filter. Prior to this, in April 2019 at 15,832 miles and in May 2018 at 14,697 miles, H.R. Owen Ferrari in London carried out similar maintenance. The most recent MOT test was on 9 May 2019 at 15,832, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The car initially failed a test earlier on the same date due to a worn windscreen wiper, though this was rectified immediately. This MOT is due to expire in November 2020, but the car will be handed over with a fresh 12-month MOT certificate.

The wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, in the correct fitment 235/35/R20 at the front and 295/35/R20 at the rear, which have around 5mm of tread remaining.

This Ferrari 458 Italia is a thrilling Italian supercar, finished in a stunning factory specification, and benefitting from impeccable maintenance history. As the last naturally aspirated production V8, 458 will likely always appeal to collectors as well as keen drivers, and this example would make a wonderful addition to any assembly of high-performance icons.
