2011 BMW 1M COUPE - 7,020 MILES

This 2011 BMW 1M Coupe is a modern performance hero, presented in outstanding condition and with very low mileage. Under the bonnet is the 335bhp N54 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six, driven through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Only 450 cars were supplied to the UK, and this one has covered only 7,020 miles.

First registered in December 2011, this car has three previous registered keepers on the log book. It was acquired by the current owner two years ago, who has driven it sparingly, adding around 600 miles to the total.

Its bodywork is described as being in excellent condition, and as it left the factory. The Alpine White paint remains bright and free of unsightly blemishes, and is accented at the rear by a genuine BMW M Performance rear spoiler. Its quad exhaust tailpipes are in great shape with a polished shine, and with the exception of a small paint chip on the nearside front wheel, the original 19-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels are pristine.

Inside, the black Boston leather upholstery is accented by orange stitching, with the same colour scheme extending to the Alcantara used for the door panels, handbrake and gear shift gaiters. All of the trim is in superb order, with no damage and no noticeable wear. The front seats feature full electric adjustment, heating, lumbar adjustment, and memory settings for the driver. Other equipment includes the BMW Professional media system with satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, and cruise control.

As seen in the photo gallery and by the summary below, this 1M Coupe has a comprehensive main dealer service history. The last scheduled maintenance was in July 2020 at 6,966 miles, when Chandlers BMW Worthing changed the engine oil, microfilter, and spark plugs, and serviced the intake silencer. Other recent services were carried out in May 2019 at 6,729 miles, and in November 2018 at 6,530 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 10 July 2020 at 6,946 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories whatsoever. In fact, each of its seven MOT tests to date has had the same result, with no failures and not even a single advisory note, which is further evidence of its superb condition. The wheels are fitted with Michelin Super Sport tyres, which were all replaced in November 2018 and still have around 7mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying this car is the complete and original book pack, including the stamped maintenance record, recent invoices for service work, and two keys. The first aid kit, toll roll and warning triangle are also still present.

This BMW 1M is an original and unmolested example of a critically acclaimed modern performance car, and one that has already become a cult modern classic. With a compelling combination of a powerful straight-six, precise manual gear shift and beautifully balanced handling, the 1M is a wonderful driver’s car, and the remarkable condition and very low mileage of this example will also appeal to serious marque collectors.
