2011 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT

This Bentley Continental GT is a superb example of a supreme grand tourer, presented in an attractive factory colour combination and with low mileage from new. It is powered by the formidable 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12, producing 567bhp, with all-wheel drive via the six-speed ZF Quickshift automatic transmission. The odometer shows 24,600 miles from new, which is fully supported by the history file.

First registered in November 2011 - and recorded as a 2012 model year car at the factory - it was supplied new via Bentley Glasgow and has three previous registered keepers on the V5C log book. The seller acquired the car in February 2019 and has covered around 1,000 miles on the road.

The elegant factory specification consists of White Sand metallic paintwork, with an interior combination of Linen primary hide and Burnt Oak secondary hide. The carpets and seat belts match the latter, while the steering column cowl and front console are trimmed in Linen leather. The three-spoke steering wheel is finished in dual-tone leather, and the burr walnut veneers extend across the dashboard, centre console, door panels and rear quarters.

It was ordered with the Mulliner Driving Specification, and the cabin features diamond-quilted hide on the seat facings, drilled alloy foot pedals and a knurled metal gear lever. The car originally left the factory sporting the split-rim 21-inch five-spoke painted wheels, but it has since been switched to a set of 21-inch seven-spoke chrome items. The chrome finish also appears in the matrix grille of the radiator and lower bumper.

The car’s bodywork remains in outstanding condition, with no dents or scratches to any of the door, wing, bonnet or boot panels. There is just one kerb scuff on the nearside front bumper, which is clearly visible in the photos below, as well as a small scratch on the offside wing mirror cap. Otherwise, the factory paint remains in superb order.

In recent years, this Bentley has been used predominantly as urban transport, and as such the chrome alloy wheels do have quite a few kerb scuffs, chips and scrapes in the metal. The next owner could choose to have them professionally refinished, or could instead source a set of the original five-spoke items.

In the cabin, the top-grade leather upholstery is in excellent condition throughout. There is no damage to any of the seats, with only signs of light use in line with the mileage. The rear seats appear to have been barely used. All of the burr walnut veneers are in great shape, with no scratches or cracks.

The front seats feature full electric adjustment, as well as heating, and the cabin equipment also includes dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera. At the back of the car, the boot is trimmed with Beluga black carpet, and the original space-saver spare wheel, warning triangle and tools are all still present.

This Continental GT has only ever been looked after by Bentley main dealers, and the most recent scheduled maintenance was carried out in January 2020 at 24,346 miles. It consisted of a minor service at Bentley Birmingham, with a spend of approximately £2,000. Prior to this, in 2018 it had its major seven-year service at Bentley Hertfordshire, with all scheduled maintenance carried out and items replaced as specified.

The last MOT test was on 13 January 2020 at 24,350 miles. The only advisories noted two small chips in the rubber around the sidewalls - which are visible in the photos below - and a lit tyre pressure monitoring light. The latter may well be due to an intermittent sensor fault, as it was also noted in the 2016 MOT when all of the tyre pressures were confirmed to be correct.

The alloy wheels are fitted with a set of Pirelli P Zero tyres in size 275/35 ZR21 all round. They remain in good order with plenty of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car is the original user guide and stamped service booklet, as well as several invoices for work. The two original remote keys also remain with the car.

This Bentley Continental GT W12 is a powerful and luxurious modern touring car, which boasts one of the most exquisitely appointed cabins in its class. Its elegant factory hue of White Sand stands out among the far more common blacks and greys, and is complemented perfectly by the dual-tone interior. This is a superb example of the breed, which could be kept on standby for special occasions, or could easily be put into use as a stately daily driver.
