2011 ASTON MARTIN CYGNET

This 2011 Aston Martin Cygnet presents a rare opportunity to own one of approximately 100 examples of one of the most comfortable and eye-catching city cars ever sold in the UK. Underneath the chic styling sits a modest 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The odometer currently indicates 48,830 miles from new.

First registered in May 2011, the vehicle has three previous keepers on the log book, though the vendor notes the last recorded owner was added due to an administrative error during the removal of a private registration plate. The Cygnet was bought from Aston Martin’s approved used selection by the prior owner in 2014.

The vendor notes a few light stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper – only visible on close inspection – and a small touched in chip on the passenger door, although the Meteorite Silver Metallic paintwork has a deep even shine and the bespoke Aston Martin styling features present brilliantly overall. The 16-inch eight-spoke graphite alloy wheels are also in superb condition, with no evidence of any significant scratches or scuffs.

All Cygnets were hand finished with bespoke Aston Martin paint. Attention to detail abounds in every area – the prominent grille, badges, styling, lights, wheels and door entry sills all reworked by Aston Martin – and even the glass is etched with Aston Martin logos. The original Chancellor Red Leather and Alcantara interior are as plush as you’d expect in a full-size Aston Martin, and remain in brilliant condition, with the vendor only noting small scuff marks on the entry sills and some light marking on some interior plastics. The interior also features Aston Martin’s Dark Chrome with Piano Black finish. The owner has reported no faults with any controls, switches or other electrics.

The last service took place in May 2020 at 48,804 miles, and was completed by Aston Martin in Walton on Thames, where the vendor notes the car received a check over and oil service. Prior to this, the vehicle received an oil service in April 2019, a pre-MOT check over service in May 2018, oil service in 2017 and a major service in March 2016. The vehicle has also received a new battery since the vendor’s acquisition.

The most recent MOT test was on 13 March 2020, which resulted in a clean pass. The Nexen tyres are in good condition all round, with between 4-5mm of tread depth remaining.

The vehicle comes with the original service book, stamped with eight entries, as well as the original Aston Martin owner’s guide, spec sheet, two keys and a full MOT history.
