2010 NISSAN (R35) GT-R BLACK EDITION

This 2010 Nissan (R35) GT-R Black Edition is a well-maintained example of the contemporary Japanese supercar, which has been in single family ownership from new. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 which has been remapped to produce 610bhp, coupled with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 72,255 miles.

The Black Edition comes with exclusive 20-inch RAYS wheels and bespoke Recaro racing seats. This example has been given a Litchfield Motors Stage Two remap, which features an uprated exhaust, switchable settings, and revised traction, boost and ignition control. Despite the upgrades, this has remained a road-going performance car, and has never been used on a track. First registered in July 2010, this GT-R was in single ownership for 10 years until its first keeper passed away last year. It has subsequently been transferred to a family member in closing his estate.

The bodywork is in excellent condition overall, while the black paintwork presents with a glossy shine. There are some small stone chips around the front end and other vulnerable areas, plus a minor scuff on the front bumper near the grille, and some scrapes under the plastic front lip. The vehicle rides on a set of 20-inch seven-spoke wheels, which are in generally good order.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in a combination of black and red leather, which has just some age-related creasing and slight discolouration. The suede cloth centre panels for the seats are in very good order. The door cards, carpets and headlining are in excellent shape, while the main contact points all present well. The cabin is equipped with satellite navigation, climate control, and a Bose sound system between the rear seats – and all of the switchgear is reported to be in good working order.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in July 2019 at 70,109 miles, where technicians at Litchfield Motors carried out a 72-month service, installing the Stage Two remap and bell housing upgrades, before replacing both front lower arms and changing the consumables. Prior to this, routine maintenance was undertaken in July 2018 at 64,325 miles and in April 2017 at 57,929 miles; the latter including fitment of OE brake discs, Cosworth pads, and braided Goodridge brake hoses, along with new rear drop links and front anti-roll bar bushes.

The most recent MOT test was on 25 February 2021 at 72,235 miles, which resulted in a pass with advisories to monitor worn rear brake discs and front tyres. Accompanying the vehicle is the original owner’s manual, warranty book, service record, and technology guide, along with two keys.

This Nissan GT-R R35 Black Edition now provides even greater thrills with its remapped engine, and has evidently been driven and enjoyed as intended. While there are a few areas that could benefit from some light cosmetic rejuvenation, overall this is a well-maintained car that is ready to delight its next owner whenever they slip behind the wheel, making for a hair-raising B-road companion or perhaps even a highly capable track day toy.
