2010 MERCEDES-BENZ C63 AMG

This Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is a superb example of the marque’s high-performance compact saloon, presented in excellent condition throughout. It is powered by the 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 451bhp and 442lb-ft of torque, coupled to AMG’s seven-speed SpeedShift MCT automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows 61,938 miles from new.

The C63 AMG can launch from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds, and will push on to a limited 155mph. This example was first registered on 5 March 2010, and there are five previous keepers on the V5C. The current owner acquired the car two months ago.

Its bodywork is evidently in excellent condition, with flush shut lines, and all of the door jambs and shut panels are in great shape. The Iridium Silver metallic paint finish is believed to be original, and has just a few minor stone chips, plus two small scratches on the rear bumper, which are clearly shown in the photo gallery. The vendor also notes a small chip on the windscreen. It rides on 19-inch multi-spoke alloys, which have no kerbing damage, and with the vendor noting only a few cracks to the lacquer on the offside front wheel.

Stepping inside, this C63 is upholstered in smart black leather, which is slightly created along the outer bolsters of the front seats, and with some more noticeable wear on the driver’s side that is commensurate with the mileage. Otherwise, the leather is in genuinely superb order throughout, and the rear seats appear to have been barely used. The driver’s floor mat is slightly frayed in one corner, and the vendor also notes a small mark on the COMAND system controller. It comes with a raft of factory fitted convenience and comfort features, including dual-zone climate control, a tilt-and-slide electric sunroof, three-stage heated seats, cruise control, and the COMAND infotainment and navigation. There are no known electrical faults, and all of the switchgear works as it should.

The last maintenance was carried out in December 2020 at 61,384 miles, when Mercedes-Benz Aylesbury technicians carried out an engine oil and filter change, and also replaced the key fob battery. Prior recent services were in December 2019 at 54,258 miles, at Hoffman’s of Henley, which included new transmission fluid, brake fluid, spark plugs, a fuel filter and air filter; and in November 2018 at 52,283 miles, when the same dealer carried out an oil services and fitted a new pollen filter.

The most recent MOT test was on 8 December 2020 at 61,357 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories or defects noted. The car wears Continental SportContact tyres on all four corners, which are reported to have around 4mm of tread on the front axle, and 5-6mm on the rear wheels.

Accompanying the car are all of the original Mercedes-Benz books, including the owner’s manual and other user guides, plus a comprehensive folder of receipts for all work carried out, old vehicle health check sheets, and prior MOT certificates. The vendor states that it is also backed up via the Mercedes-Benz online history system. Its space-saver spare wheel and jack are also present.

This Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is a refined super saloon that boasts a remarkably potent and characterful engine, as well as wonderfully entertaining dynamics. While it does not want for excitement, it is also comfortable and practical enough to use every day, should the next owner so desire. It could be a smart addition to any collection of modern classics, and is ready to drive and relish on the road for many more miles.
