2010 JAGUAR XKR BLACK PACK

This 2010 Jaguar XKR is a superb example of the high-performance grand tourer, which is fitted with the marque’s Black Pack and presents in excellent condition throughout. It is equipped with a supercharged 503bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine, which drives the rear wheels via a six-speed ZF automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 71,345 miles from new.

First registered in September 2010, this XKR features the marque’s Black Pack, which adds 20-inch gloss black ‘Kalimnos’ alloy wheels, along with black window surrounds and front grilles. The car was acquired by its current owner last year, and has four previous keepers on the V5C.

The bodywork is in great shape, with no known damage to any panels, and the condition of its black paintwork has been described as excellent. It is believed to be entirely original and therefore presents with a few age-related stone chips and small scratches, but no major blemishes can be seen. The black windows and grille are both in good order, while the car’s 20-inch wheels present with just one or two small marks.

Inside, the seats are trimmed with black leather, which has only some very light creasing. The leather-clad door cards are in good shape, and though a few light marks can be seen on the plastic centre console trim, the dashboard appears to be free of any major scuffs. The vendor reports the chrome-effect finish is lifting slightly on the seat controls, though no electrical faults have been detected.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in September 2020 at Highfield Garage in South Shields, when the engine oil and filter were changed. Prior to this, in August 2018 at 62,986 miles, technicians at Jagtech in Stockton-on-Tees changed the engine oil and filter, before replacing the rear brake pads and wear sensor. Similar routine maintenance took place in February 2017 at 56,069 miles, on top of a new battery and climate control recharge. In February 2016, the oil and filter were changed, and technicians replaced the front brake discs and sensors.

The most recent MOT test was on 15 September 2020 at 70,909 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The front tyres are close to the legal minimum on their edges, but the rear tyres have 4mm of tread across the section width.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manuals and service book, along with a raft of maintenance invoices.

This Jaguar XKR is a well-cared for example of the marque’s acclaimed grand tourer, with the optional Black Pack and a solid maintenance history. A rapid yet refined machine, this XKR would make a superb long-distance cruiser or a fun weekend toy, with the addictive supercharged V8 never failing to put a smile on its driver’s face.
