This Ferrari 458 Italia is a stunning example of the marque’s celebrated mid-engined supercar, with a great factory specification and genuine low mileage. It is powered by the 562bhp 4.5-litre naturally aspirated V8, coupled to the seven-speed dual-clutch F1 automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 17,674 miles from new.
Finished in the handsome colour scheme of Nero Daytona with a full cream leather interior, this 458 Italia also features black stitching, Cavallino embossed headrests, black carpets, and electrically adjustable seats. The specification includes Scuderia wing shields, AFS headlights, carbon-fibre steering wheel with LED change-up lights, yellow rev counter, iPod connector and Bluetooth, and a reversing camera. The diamond-cut five-spoke alloys house carbon-ceramic brake discs accented by yellow calipers.
First registered in October 2010, the clear HPI report shows just two previous registered keepers on the log book. The seller has owned the car for two years, and has covered around 1,000 miles behind the wheel.
The bodywork is reported to be in excellent condition, with no dents, scuffs, or signs of accident damage. Its Nero Daytona paint finish is smooth and glossy around the whole car, with only the odd small stone chip from road use. All of the light lenses and body trims are in great shape, though the factory-fit Scuderia shields have some very slight wear around the edges. It rides on the original 20-inch five-spoke forged alloy wheels, which are in superb order.
In the cabin, the cream leather trim extends to the dashboard top, door cards, and rear bulkhead panel. The seat upholstery presents very well, with no damage to the leather, and only minor wear on the driver’s bolster commensurate with the low mileage. It features the ‘Daytona’ strips in the centre panels, and black contrast stitching throughout. There is dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors, and the JBL Professional audio system. All of the switchgear works perfectly, and there are no electrical faults.
This 458 Italia has a comprehensive Ferrari main dealer service history. With the exception of 2017, it has been seen every year from new. Its last scheduled maintenance was in March 2020 at 17,647 miles, carried out by Meridien Modena in Lyndhurst. This consisted of a standard annual service. Prior to this, it was seen by the same main dealer in March 2018 at 16,280 miles, and in November 2016 at 14,905 miles. The seller reports that it is in superb mechanical condition.
Its most recent MOT test was on 26 February 2020 at 17,629 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories. The online history reflects the fact that this is a cherished car that has been well cared-for. Its wheels are shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres all round, which have a good level of tread remaining.
Accompanying the car are all of the original books in the leather wallet, including the owner’s manual and the stamped service book. There are also numerous old invoices and receipts for maintenance work. Two keys are also present, along with their leather pouches.
At the car’s launch, Autocar magazine said the 458 Italia had “set a new standard by which supercars are now judged”, concluding that it was “an interactive and deeply satisfying car to drive – be that at three-tenths on a back road or fully committed at your favourite track”.
This Ferrari 458 Italia is an outstanding contemporary supercar, and - setting aside the halo ‘Speciale’ model - represents the marque’s last naturally aspirated V8 model. This particular car benefits from a very smart colour scheme, desirable options, and low mileage that is fully supported by comprehensive maintenance history. An unmissable opportunity to acquire a sensational driver’s car.
Please note: the cherished plate shown on the car is not included in the sale. It will be switched back to an age-related registration plate in the event of a successful auction.
