2010 DUCATI 1198S

This 2010 Ducati 1198S is a renowned superbike, complete with the factory-fitted race kit and which has been very well maintained. It is equipped with the 1198cc V-twin engine, producing around 168bhp, coupled with a six-speed transmission. The odometer currently indicates 13,360 miles from new.

First registered in April 2010, this Ducati has just one private keeper on the V5C, and is now offered for sale by the trade. It has been fitted with the sought-after factory race kit, including carbon-fibre Termignoni exhaust elements and a dedicated ECU, and also benefits from a Datatool security system.

The frame and body of this 1198S is all in good shape, and its Ducati Red paintwork is believed to be entirely original. Some very minor scuffs have been reported around the foot pegs, but the finish otherwise presents very well. Commensurate with the low mileage, no significant stone chips or scuffs can be seen, and the silver Ducati decals are all in good shape. The bike rides on a set of black seven-spoke Marchesini wheels, which are in excellent condition.

The black leather seat is in great shape, as are the handlebars and surrounding trim, which feature just a few small surface blemishes. The 1198S is equipped with a digital MotoGP-style display, along with Ducati Traction Control and the marque’s Data Analyser system, while all of the electrics are believed to work as they should.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in August 2020 at 13,344 miles, where technicians at Gtec Performance Ducati in Leicester changed the engine oil, filter and cambelt. Prior to this, routine maintenance was carried out in June 2017 at 13,025 miles and in July 2014 at 12,153 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 23 September 2020 at 13,344 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects, while the Michelin tyres are reported to be in excellent condition.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manuals, service book and sales brochures, along with the full toolkit and a collection of maintenance invoices.
