2010 BMW Z4 GT3 RECREATION

A road-legal recreation of BMW’s Z4 GT3 race cars, this 2010 BMW Z4 features a full carbon fibre body kit, amongst a host of other modifications, resulting in a sensational and head-turning vehicle. Based on a 35i model, it is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine paired with six-speed manual gearbox that has been heavily revised and rated up to 500bhp. Taking an already engaging driver’s car to new levels, this remarkable vehicle is presented in great condition.

The transformation of this car has been extensive and costly, the main talking point of which must be the full carbon fibre GT3 CFK Kit by Flossmann. This GT3 conversion was carried out a cost of over £17,000, not including countless parts supplied by the commissioning owner, as seen in the invoice visible in the gallery. This GT3 style kit not only creates a striking appearance, but it also offers genuine aerodynamic benefits. It is finished in deep black with red accents, as well as motorsport decals. Paired with upgrades under the skin, the car is a potent machine on and off the track and has covered 22,000 miles from new.

First registered on 29 September 2010, the vendor has owned the car for around four years, in which time approximately 2,000 miles have been covered. The car has had only two previous owners.

The paintwork is in good condition overall; although, as is to be expected, the car has a few marks from time spent on track. The front grille is showing some stone chips, as is the rear wing, but overall, the car presents well given its intended use. Visible carbon fibre items such as the front splitter, canards and wing mirrors present well, and no bodywork damage is reported. The 19-inch multi-spoke wheels are finished in graphite grey and present very well.

Moving inside, the stripped-out cabin features Sparco Circuit racing bucket seats and six-point harnesses mounted on custom seat mounts, a Sparco quick release steering wheel, AIM dashboard display with data logger and more. Overall, the interior is in excellent condition with no noted defects, and the folding roof deactivated for safety.

The engine boasts VRSF intakes, a cutback stainless steel exhaust, carbon-dipped rocker cover and front air intake, and a VRSF-upgraded intercooler, amongst other upgrades, resulting in a reputed potential power output of 500bhp. The suspension has been upgraded with Spax coil-overs, and further details of the conversion can be seen in the aforementioned photographed invoices.

The vendor states that the car had an extensive service and safety check prior to its last event, and the car has always been serviced and checked before any outing. Outside this, two small bits of bodywork have been repaired on the front splitter during the vendor’s ownership. The car was MOT tested on 23 September 2019 with no advisories. It’s currently wearing Michelin tyres to the front and Pirelli tyres to the rear, which the vendor reports were fitted within the last 24 months and have at least four millimetres of tread all round.
