2010 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT SPEED

This 2010 Bentley Continental GT Speed is a handsome example of the sublime grand tourer, presented with a high factory specification and in superb condition throughout. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine producing around 602bhp, which drives all four wheels through a six-speed ZF automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 63,826 miles from new.

As well as the notable power increase, the GT Speed also included a lower ride height and uprated settings for the shock absorbers, springs, and anti-roll bars. The steering system was also recalibrated, stiffer subframe bushings were installed at the rear, and wider rifled sports exhaust tail pipes were fitted. First registered in March 2010, this Bentley has four previous keepers on the V5C, and is now offered for sale by the trade.

The elegant bodywork of this Continental is in excellent condition, with flush shut lines, smooth panels and no evidence of any previous accidents. The condition of the Diamond Black paintwork has been described as good, and though some light age-related stone chips are present on the front end and a light scratch can be seen on the offside rear wing, the finish is believed to be entirely original and still presents with a glossy shine. There is one small chip to the lower part of the windscreen, which would probably repair quite easily. The vehicle rides on 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, which have some kerbing scuffs.

Moving inside, the cabin is trimmed with sumptuous cream diamond-quilted leather, which is in very good condition for its age, with just some light mileage-commensurate wear to the driver’s bolsters. The leather-clad door cards and dashboard present well, along with the piano black dashboard trim and the marque’s signature analogue clock. An absence of burr wood inlays gives this particular GT Speed a more contemporary ambience than many other examples. The seats are heated and electrically adjustable, with the cabin also featuring satellite navigation, cruise control and climate control. All of the electrics are reported to be in good working order, and there are no warning lights on the dashboard.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in January 2021, where technicians at Bentley specialist Wraith Motors in London carried out an annual service. Prior to this, similar routine maintenance was undertaken in January 2020 at 55,397 miles and in February 2019 at 47,898 miles, both also by Wraith Motors. The car is accompanied by a fully stamped service book, with regular routine maintenance carried out by Bentley authorised dealers and more recently the recognised Bentley specialist. It is reported to be a very well-maintained vehicle.

The most recent MOT test was on 4 August 2020 at 59,187 miles, which resulted in a pass with one advisory to monitor a nail in the offside rear tyre, though this was rectified immediately. The wheels come wrapped with a set of Pirelli tyres, all of which were fitted between 2017 and 2019, and all have a reported 5-6mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the vehicle are all of the original owner’s handbooks in their factory leather wallet.

This Bentley Continental GT Speed is a luxurious and sophisticated grand tourer, presented in excellent condition and with a comprehensive maintenance history. A very clean, well-maintained example, this GT Speed would make a great occasional car for use at weekends or for special occasions, and would also be a superb cross-continental road trip companion.
