2010 ASTON MARTIN V12 VANTAGE

This Aston Martin V12 Vantage is a powerful, raw and handsome British supercar, finished in a smart factory colour scheme and with genuine low mileage. Its engine is the formidable 5.9-litre AM11 naturally aspirated V12 engine from the DBS, producing 510bhp, driven through the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows just 29,052 miles from new.

First registered in September 2010, it is understood this car was supplied by Broughtons Aston Martin in Cheltenham. It has full main dealer service history from new and has evidently been cherished by each of its previous keepers. The current owner is former Great Britain Olympic high jumper Ben Challenger, who has owned the car for three years, enjoying around 15,000 miles behind the wheel.

The bodywork of this Aston Martin is in superb condition, with no accident damage, dents or scratches. Its Onyx Black paint finish is in very good order, with only the common blemish around the lock on the nearside door noted by the seller. This was due to be rectified by Aston Martin Reading during its next service in May 2020, but it has now been postponed.

Its carbon-fibre front lip spoiler, bonnet louvres, and rear diffuser surround are all in great shape, with no cracks in the lacquer. All of the light lenses are original and undamaged, and the exterior brightwork is also unmarked. The car rides on a set of 10-spoke 19-inch alloys with a superb diamond-turned finish, which house the powerful carbon-ceramic brake discs and black painted calipers.

The cabin is equipped with electrically adjustable carbon-fibre backed sport seats, upholstered in a combination of Obsidian Black leather and Alcantara. The latter is also used for the steering wheel, headlining, and roof pillar trim. There is some slight wear on the steering wheel, but otherwise the interior presents in superb condition. The centre console is finished in Piano Black gloss veneer, and the door handles are carbon-fibre.

Factory-fitted equipment includes the optional 1000-watt Bang and Olufsen audio system, cruise control, climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and a hard-drive media system with satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

This V12 Vantage has main dealer service history from new. A summary of previous maintenance visits is included at the bottom of the listing. The car remains in outstanding mechanical condition, with no modifications other than a remote for the exhaust valves to remain open or closed at a press of a button. This can be put back to standard if the next owner desires.

The last MOT test was on 26 March 2019 at 23,901 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories. In fact, it has passed each of its seven annual MOT tests to date with the same result, showing no alerts or warnings whatsoever, which is testament to its superb condition. If it is likely to be left and not driven for more than a week, the current owner always leaves it connected to a trickle charger – which is included in the sale. The MOT renewal date was 6 April 2020, but with the six-month extension applied by the government, its certificate now lasts until October 2020.

The alloys are fitted with Pirelli Sottozero tyres in size 255/35 ZR19 at the front and 295/30 ZR19 at the rear. There is around 6mm of tread remaining at the front and rear, and the seller intends to give two summer front tyres with 4.5mm tread to the new owner.

This Aston Martin V12 Vantage is a superb example of a celebrated performance car, presented in excellent cosmetic and mechanical order. It has clearly been very well maintained and is now ready to thrill another enthusiast on the road with its riotous soundtrack and wonderful analogue driving experience.
