KEY FACTS

• A convincing recreation of the Le Mans-winning Aston Martin DBR1/2, hand-built in 2010 by AS Motorsport to a very high standard, and which is now in excellent condition throughout.
• It is equipped with a Jaguar XK 4.2-litre ‘club sport’ straight six, tuned to produce around 270bhp and 300lb-ft of torque, coupled to a Getrag five-speed manual transmission.
• It was recently re-imported from the south of France, where it has been fastidiously maintained.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• GRP bodywork in Aston Martin Racing Green with a yellow nose highlight, a polished alloy radiator grille, a half-zip tonneau cover, and the original outdoor cover.
• ‘Club sport’ engine package, with a gas-flowed head, a Stage Two cam and lightened internals; and a triple Weber inlet package.
• 16-inch silver-painted steel wheels with Avon Turbo Speed tyres, Borrani-style wheel nut spinners, four-pot alloy brake callipers and vented discs.
• Uprated differential unit

• The cabin is equipped with the DBR1/2’s original-style weaved seat fabric that has been recently replaced, a slotted chrome gear gate, Smiths instrumentation, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, anti-slip floor covering and an auxiliary heater unit.

• One of the genuine Aston Martin DBR1s sold for $22.5 million in 2017, highlighting the obvious appeal and value of a convincing recreation at a fraction of the cost.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• Its Aston Martin Racing Green paintwork is in excellent condition, presenting with just a few very small blemishes on the front end, commensurate with touring use.
• A few patches of discoloration can be seen on the windscreen trim, and some paint chips are present around the boot lid hinges.
• Inside, the black leather and striped cloth upholstery is in good shape, with no significant wear.
• Some light marks can be seen on the black dashboard plastics, alongside a few scrapes below the ignition.
• No electrical faults have been detected.
• The most recent MOT test was on 10 May 2021 at 44,122 km, which was a clean pass with no advisories or defects.
• It has been always been garage stored when not in use, and as is typical with a classic tourer it has been serviced on an ad-hoc basis when needed, and kept in very good mechanical order.
