EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Introduced at the end of the Mk5 Golf GTI’s production cycle, the Pirelli Edition is based on the Edition 30 model, and as such produces 227bhp rather than the standard GTI’s 197bhp.
• Cosmetic changes include unique alloy wheels and black leather-trimmed seats with yellow accent stitching and Alcantara centres sections, which are embossed with a tyre-tread pattern.
• This example is finished in the timeless hue of Diamond Black, and is equipped with heated front seats, air conditioning, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, automatic headlights, and headlight washers.
• It rides on the correct set of model-exclusive alloy wheels.
• The only modifications are the car’s Heko wind deflectors, RamAir induction kit and replacement mph speedometer, though the original kph speedometer and air box will also be provided.
• The car will be accompanied by its spare wheel and full tool kit.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• The Diamond Black paintwork is believed to be completely original and is in good overall condition, with a few blemishes, including stone chips and light scratches around the car, as well as scuffs on the bottom edge of the front lip spoiler.
• Inside, the cabin presents well, with the upholstery in very good order, but features some small marks such as scratches on the steering wheel rim and wear on the handbrake grip.
• The automatic gear selector surround’s black paintwork is flaking, and would benefit from being refinished
• There are no known electrical faults, and all of the interior buttons and switches work as they should.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 24 March 2021 at 66,524 miles, resulting in a pass with one advisory noting that the rear parking brake only just met requirements. Prior to this, the front outer drive shaft CV joint boot and nearside front tyre were replaced.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The car has just been fitted with a new timing belt kit, taking care of a notable service item, with receipts on file.
• This Golf GTI’s most recent routine maintenance prior to this was carried out by JMA Motorsport, who changed the engine oil, oil filter and spark plugs, though the seller is unable to find a receipt confirming this.
• During the seller’s ownership they have had the front and rear brake pads changed, as well as the brake fluid.

SUMMARY

This Volkswagen Golf (Mk5) GTI Pirelli Edition is a lesser-seen version of the popular hot hatch.
