The Nissan GT-R is considered by many to be unlike any other supercar, and this particular example is a very well-maintained example with a raft of high-quality upgrades. It has a hand-built 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, with four-wheel drive via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shift. The combined mileage is 38,960 miles, following a speedometer change in 2014 at 29,281 miles.
First registered in June 2009, this R35 Skyline GT-R has had four previous keepers before the current owner purchased it in December 2019. The GT-R is renowned for its advanced technology, straightforward tuning potential and generally very impressive reliability, and this car has been treated to numerous enhancements to further boost the performance.
Around £5,000 has been invested in performance upgrades from Litchfield Motors, arguably the most well-known GT-R specialist in the country. The stage 4.25 upgrade increased the power output to 660bhp, with the modifications incorporating stainless steel downpipes, new Bosch injectors, and a large bore performance intake kit. A 102mm stainless steel exhaust system and Y-pipe were fitted, along with torque control for live adjustments of power output per gear. The front brake discs were uprated and an anti-theft security alarm was fitted. Additional upgrades were also commissioned, and the full list can be found below.
The exterior is described as being in good condition, with the Super Silver paintwork showing only light stone chips across the front and some light scratches to the bodywork. It rides on the Black Edition’s 20-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, which are all reported to be in good order.
The interior is all original with the exception of the speedometer, which was replaced in 2014. However, the mileage at the time was correctly documented, so the overall total is known to an accurate figure. The black and red upholstery has some light wear to the leather and fabric, but is generally in great shape.
The most recent service was in November 2019 at 8,400 miles by SRD Tuning when the engine oil was changed and a new filter installed. Previously, the GT-R was serviced in October 2018 at 6,894 miles, and in October 2017 at 6,334 miles – the latter carried out by Nissan GT-R specialist, Kaizer Motor.
The most recent MOT test was on 2 July 2019 at 7,258 miles, which resulted in a clean pass. The vendor also states that the tyres are all in good condition.
Accompanying the R35 GT-R is its leather document wallet, complete with original warranty and maintenance record booklet. This vehicle also comes with the owner’s manual, multi-function display manual, quick reference guide and owners’ club pack. Also present are invoices and receipts from main dealers and specialists, as well as two sets of keys.
This Nissan GT-R has been well maintained from new, and benefits from additional power and torque across the rev range to make it even more thrilling. Unquestionably a disruptor in the market, the GT-R’s blend of technology, power and secure dynamics make it a unique and rewarding ownership experience. In very good condition throughout, this is a great opportunity to acquire a well-cared-for example of the Japanese performance icon.
