EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• The Defender 90 SVX marked the 60th anniversary of the model and came equipped with a host of special features.
• Exclusively finished in Santorini Black, this rare edition sits on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and features a silver external front roll bar and silver side-steps.
• While it originally had a silver fascia for the grille and headlight clusters, this has since been repainted in gloss black. There are also KBX wing top side vents, a NAS rear step, and LED daytime running lights in the front bumper.
• The SVX is a soft-top convertible and comes with a more sophisticated adjustable suspension setup than the standard Defender 90, controllable via switchgear in the cabin.
• Special ’60 YRS’ graphics have been applied to this vehicle from the factory.
• The interior is black with half-leather heated Recaro sports seats, and has air conditioning, heated screens, and electric windows.
• A factory Clarion CD player is fitted with Bluetooth connectivity and an iPod connection lead.
• Only 300 short-wheelbase Defender SVX cars were produced, and this is number 233 of that original production run. It is understood to be one of only around 120 SVX 90 Soft Top models made.
• The owner’s book pack and a stamped service book are included with this vehicle.
• The registration plate shown in the photos is not included in the sale – however it is available by separate negotiation. The car has been put back on its original registration of GU09 OTD.

CONDITION

• There has been no known accident damage to this vehicle.
• The seller states that the chassis is in unbelievably good condition, having been extremely well treated and protection by anti-corrosion sealer. It has only been driven in the dry over the last six years by its current owner, and has always been kept in a dry garage.
• The exterior is presented in excellent condition with only very minor scuffs to the side-steps and some small marks on the soft-top clear screens. There are a few light marks on the bolts and plates around the exterior, but no signs of heavy wear or abuse. The wheel arch extensions are all in great shape, with no scuffs or cracks.
• This Defender’s factory soft top is in superb order, showing no fading or fraying, and still fitting snugly over its frame. Its plastic windows are also free of clouding.
• Its interior is very well presented with some light creasing to the seats and a small scuff on the passenger seat lower bolster. There are also some minor marks on the driver’s side seat box, but overall the extended leather trim looks excellent. The SVX specification billet alloy gear knobs add a more contemporary touch.
• Under the bonnet, the engine bay is superbly presented, and mirrors the impressive condition of the underside and chassis.
• All the electrics currently work as they should with no known faults.
• All five wheels – including the spare – are shod in a set of matching Continental CrossContact 235/85R16 tyres, which are still in virtually as-new condition having covered very low mileage.
• The last MOT was carried out on 17 March 2021 at 34,265 miles, where it passed with no advisory notices.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The last service carried out was in March 2021 at 34,264 miles by Richard Steele Automotive Engineers where an oil service and Inspection 1 were carried out.
• Prior to this, an oil service and Inspection 2 were carried out at 34,235 miles in August 2018, and an oil service and Inspection 1 at 34,064 miles in August 2017.
