2009 FERRARI CALIFORNIA

KEY FACTS

  • A tastefully specified example of Ferrari’s beautifully designed front-engined grand tourer.
  • Under the bonnet sits a 4.3-litre naturally aspirated V8, delivering 483bhp to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shift.
  • This well looked-after California has been exclusively serviced by Ferrari main dealers and specialists from new.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

  • The California was launched at the 2008 Paris Motor Show and marked a number of ‘firsts’ for Ferrari: the inaugural front-engined V8, 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, hard-top convertible with folding metal roof, multi-link rear suspension, and direct-injection.
  • This Ferrari California rides on its original 19-inch alloy wheels, shod with Pirelli P-Zero tyres and housing yellow-finished callipers.
  • It is finished in Blu Tour de France metallic over a Cuoio leather interior, which extends to the door cards and dashboard, with blue contrast stitching.
  • The car is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes, Scuderia wing shields, electrically adjustable and heated front seats with three-position driver’s seat memory, automatic Xenon headlights, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and infotainment screen with satellite navigation as well as USB and auxiliary ports.
  • It is accompanied by the service book, various invoices, original air compressor and toolkit.

CONDITION

  • There is no known bodywork damage.
  • The original Blu Tour de France paintwork is in good condition, with a few stone chips across the nose of the car, commensurate with the age and mileage of the vehicle. There is a small scuff to the nearside of the front bumper where it meets the wheel arch.
  • The car’s original Cuoio leather interior presents well, with only very modest signs of use around the heating and gearbox controls, front seats and infotainment screen. The driver’s seat bolster has some wear and minor discolouration, and may benefit from being reconnolised.
  • The car is in sound working order, with no reported mechanical or electrical faults.
  • The most recent MOT test was in July 2021 at 44,226 miles, when the car registered a clean first-time pass. The car has passed first time and with no advisories since its first MOT test in 2012.
