2009 FERRARI 430 SCUDERIA

This Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a sensational pared-back road car, which is presented in superb condition with recent maintenance from a leading Ferrari specialist. Its engine is the 4.3-litre flat-plane crank V8 engine, producing 503bhp, driving the rear wheels via a six-speed ‘F1-SuperFast 2’ automated manual with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 18,500 miles from new.

First registered in January 2009, this is an original UK-market car with four previous registered keepers. The seller has owned the car for two years, and has enjoyed around 5,000 miles on the road in that time.

Its bodywork is in excellent condition, with no damage or scrapes, and consistent panel gaps all round. The Rosso Scuderia paint finish is in very good order, with only small nicks on the bonnet that have been professionally touched in, and some chipped paint in the arches behind the rear wheels. Its body is accented by recessed Scuderia shields, a carbon-fibre rear grille fascia and carbon-fibre door mirrors, and non-factory Grigio Corsa NART racing stripes. The matt anthracite alloy wheels are pristine, and house red brake calipers on the carbon-ceramic discs.

The interior features Ferrari’s ‘Super Racing’ carbon-fibre bucket seats, upholstered in Alcantara with ‘3D’ technical cloth centre panels, accented by red stitching - including for the embroidered ‘Cavallino’ emblems. Alcantara trim is also present on the dashboard, roof pillars and headlining, and is all in excellent condition. There are a few scratches in the plastic around the steering column, and some scuffs around the foot wells, which are finished with chequer-plate panels.

Its steering wheel features carbon-fibre inlays with LED shift lights and carbon-fibre shift paddles, and there are also carbon-fibre trims for the door panels, sill cover plates, centre console, and dashboard inlays. Factory-fitted equipment includes a Giallo rev counter, electric windows, climate control, and a Becker head unit with satellite navigation and CD player.

The car is in outstanding mechanical condition, and is fresh from a 12 June 2020 service by leading Ferrari V8 specialist Aldous Voice Engineering at 18,484 miles. This consisted of a standard annual service to manufacturer specifications, along with renewal of the brake fluid, and the front anti-roll bar drop links. The combined oil and water pump was also replaced at a cost of £1,953, and there are invoices for the work in the gallery. A clutch reading taken at this time showed wear of only 20.58%.

It was also seen and serviced in June 2019, and again in May 2018 by Aldous Voice. The latter included new brake calipers and pads, a replacement rear light, new front track rod ends, and new anti-roll bar bushes. In August 2017, it was given a full service by Meridien Modena in Lyndhurst.

Its last MOT test was on 13 April 2019 at 14,923 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories whatsoever. Given the six-month extension due to Covid-19, it is not due for another MOT until November 2020. The wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres in size 235/35 ZR19 at the front and 285/35 ZR19 at the rear, which are all in good condition.

At launch, Evo magazine’s John Barker said that the 430 Scuderia’s abilities were “exceptional and uniquely inspired”, adding, “All-time great status is surely a certainty”.

This Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a thrilling and exceptionally rare road car, which boasts a wonderfully analogue driving experience compared to many of the latest supercars. This particular car is understood to be one of just 165 original UK cars, and far fewer remain here. It is presented in excellent condition throughout, with recent servicing by a Ferrari V8 specialist, and would be a credit to any collection.
