KEY FACTS

• This Cadillac CTS-V is a potent and luxurious American saloon, with performance rivalling its German contemporaries and low mileage from new. 
• Under the bonnet is the supercharged 6.2-litre LSA V8, now producing around 570hp, coupled to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
• A standard CTS-V tested by Car and Driver magazine completed the sprint from 0-60mph in just 4.0 seconds.
• The odometer displays just 39,649 miles from new, which is fully supported by the car’s maintenance history.
• It was first registered in Japan in 2009, before being imported as a Grade 4 vehicle and re-registered with the DVLA in December 2019.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• This CTS-V was specified with Black Raven paintwork and black leather upholstery.
• Factory features include adjustable magnetic dampers with comfort and sport settings, Brembo six-piston front brake callipers, Recaro 14-way adjustable heated and cooled seats, satellite navigation, cruise control, Bose sound system, adaptive xenon headlights, automatic windscreen wipers and rear parking sensors. 
• The cabin now features Apple CarPlay and a reversing camera, which is currently disconnected. 
• A Corsa cat-back performance exhaust has been installed, along with a larger intake pipe. 
• Its original owner’s manuals will be included, along with its Japanese service history and a collection of recent maintenance invoices. 

CONDITION

• There is no known bodywork damage. 
• There are some minor stone chips on the bonnet, along with a small patch of surface rust on the offside door trim and a few scrapes on the underside of the front valance, but the Black Raven paintwork is good general order. 
• A few kerb scuffs can be seen on the alloy wheels. 
• Inside, there are some light creases on the black leather seat bolsters, but these are entirely in keeping with the car’s age. 
• The vendor has reported a slight rattle from the rear exhaust silencer at crawling speed, which is inaudible during normal driving conditions. 
• No electrical issues have been detected, but the reversing camera needs to be re-connected to the head unit. 
• The most recent MOT test was on 14 November 2020 at 38,855 miles, which was a first-time pass with no advisories or defects. 

SERVICE HISTORY

• This CTS-V’s most recent service was in February 2021 at 38,400 miles, where technicians at American Auto Services changed the engine oil and filter, before cleaning, rustproofing and reassembling the differential case, and changing the differential oil. 
• At the previous service, the cooling and radiator packs were repaired, along with the associated piping. 
• A set of Continental SportContact 6 tyres were fitted in early 2020, which have covered less than 1,500 miles to date.
• The engine oil and filter have been changed annually, regardless of the mileage covered. 

SUMMARY

This Cadillac CTS-V is a rare and powerful American sports saloon, which easily matches the performance of its contemporary German counterparts while offering a smooth, supple ride, ideal for UK roads. Having been tastefully modified with an uprated exhaust and kept in superb mechanical condition, it would now make a fantastic addition to any collection.
