CONDITION

• The exterior of the vehicle is in excellent condition, with the finish having been protected from new with OziCozi paint protection film and GTechniq ceramic coating. This was only removed last year, and there are one or two stone chips on the bonnet.
• Inside, the vehicle presents very well, with the black leather seats and steering wheel in particularly good condition. The roof lining is showing slight signs of sagging at the rear.
• There are no known mechanical or electrical faults; all controls, gauges and switches work as they should.
• The most recent roadworthy inspection was carried out on 22 March 2021 with no warnings or advisories being issued.

 SERVICE HISTORY

• The most recent service was performed in July 2020 at BMS Autohaus. Here a VW oil service and inspection was undertaken, plus a full mechanical check over of the car, diagnostic scan, battery test, and a 5.5-litre Liquimoly Pro-Line oil flush.
• Prior to this a full service was performed in July 2019 at BMS Autohaus. Work completed included a new oil filter, Liquimoly Pro-line engine oil flush, Liquimoly 10W-40 engine oil, replacement of front and rear discs, pads and sensors with ECS Tuning lightweight brake discs and ceramic brake pads.
• During the vendor’s time with the vehicle, they have replaced the ABS pump and control unit (genuine VW parts), fitted a new PCV repair kit, rocker cover gasket, spark plugs, carbon cannister and breather hose, and fitted a 90 Amp Varta battery.

SUMMARY

This VW Golf Mk5 R32 is a superb hot hatch, which boasts excellent performance, alongside a very recognisable exhaust note. The vehicle benefits from tasteful modifications, an excellent service history, and represents a wonderful example of the breed.
