This Toyota Land Cruiser is a well-equipped example of the marque’s famously robust luxury SUV, which provides seating for seven and has very low mileage from new. Under the bonnet is the 4.5-litre diesel V8, producing 282bhp and 479lb-ft of torque, which drives all four wheels via the six-speed automatic transmission. The odometer displays just 17,068 miles.

First registered on 30 May 2008, there are just two previous keepers on the V5C, and this Land Cruiser is now offered for sale by its current owner, who acquired it just over one year ago.

While the Land Cruiser is famed for its reliability and high levels of build quality, this example is also particularly well-specified. Outfitted with the Premium in Car Entertainment pack, the car features an electric glass sunroof, cruise control, premium satellite navigation, heated and electrically adjustable seats with memory settings, DAB digital radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, plus a DVD player and rear screens for the second-row passengers.

Despite this Land Cruiser being more than 12 years old, its bodywork and Regency Red paintwork remain in very good order – a testament to both the car’s build quality and the care of its owners. While there are some small marks and fine scratches to the finish, plus a very minor scuff on the passenger-side door mirror cover, these are minor imperfections.

This go-anywhere SUV has also been fitted with a substantial rear towbar, further increasing its practicality while allowing its next owner to make the most of its not inconsiderable hauling abilities. The car rides on a set of 20-inch five-arm twin-spoke alloy wheels, which are sound but have some visible bubbling in the paint finish.

On entering the cabin, it becomes immediately apparent that Toyota wanted the Land Cruiser to stand out from more run-of-the-mill SUVs and utilitarian 4x4s. Light Sandstone leather covers all seven seats, including the two folding items that make up the third row, and is joined by wood trim which appears on the dashboard and upper door cards, while the durable plastics are dark brown.

The heated and power-adjustable front seats present very well, and although there is some creasing to the leather upholstery, this is in keeping with the car’s age and mileage. Both rear rows of seats are in great shape. As well as separate front and rear four-zone climate control, this Land Cruiser also includes heated seats for the outboard second-row passengers, who also benefit from a DVD player and screens for entertainment during longer road trips.

Factory-fitted equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, premium satellite navigation and a DAB radio with Bluetooth connectivity, which plays via a set of JBL speakers. The seller reports no faults with the car’s buttons, switches or electrical items, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

Serviced by Toyota main dealers every year from new, this low-mileage 4x4 is reported to be in excellent mechanical order. Its most recent routine maintenance was a general oil service, which was carried out by Snows Toyota in Waterlooville in November 2020 at 16,872 miles. Prior to this, it was serviced in May 2019 at 12,400 miles and in March 2018 at 12,123 miles, by Snows Toyota, Waterlooville and Somerset County Cars, Yeovil, respectively. Its last MOT test was conducted on 2 December 2020 at 16,872 miles, when it achieved a clean first-time pass with no advisories. All four wheels are fitted with Continental CrossContact UHP tyres in size 285/50 ZR20, which appear to be in good condition and with plenty of tread remaining.

The car is accompanied by its original book pack, including the owner’s manual and guide to the in-car entertainment system, plus the service book, which has been stamped every year since the car was first purchased.
