2008 PORSCHE 911 (997) CARRERA 4

This 2008 Porsche 911 (997) Carrera 4 is a exciting performance car, with a few subtle modifications and low mileage. It is equipped with the 350bhp naturally-aspirated 3.6-litre straight-six, coupled with the Tiptronic S automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted shift buttons. The odometer currently indicates 44,000 miles from new.

First registered in June 2008, this 911 has been in the hands of its current keeper for the last four years, with just two prior keepers. A non-sunroof car, its factory specification includes the desirable sport seats, PCM with navigation, Bose sound system, and a multi-function steering wheel. It has been fitted with aftermarket alloy wheels and a stainless steel sports exhaust.

The bodywork of this 911 is reported to be in great shape, with no known prior damage. It presents with a few age-related blemishes, such as some small stone chips on the nose and a few light scuffs around the front wings, door handles and sills. The distinctive rear spoiler is in great shape and the vehicle rides on a set of aftermarket 20-inch wheels, which appear pristine.

Inside, the black leather upholstery is in very good condition, with just some slight wear to the front seats commensurate with the low mileage. A few light marks can be seen in the leather-clad door cards, though their carpeted lower sections are in good shape. There are no known electrical faults with the car, and all of the switchgear is currently working as it should.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken at around 44,000 miles, where technicians at Euro Motors carried out a full service, as well as renewal of the spark plugs and coil packs, and various sensors, at a total cost of some £3,000. Other notable recent maintenance includes new brake discs and pads, and the replacement of the air-conditioning condensers in 2017.

The most recent MOT test was on 5 November 2020 at 43,390 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The rear tyres are reported to be new, while the fronts are believed to have covered around 5,000 miles.

This Porsche 977 Carrera 4 is a capable and practical modern performance car, which presents in very good order thanks in no small part to its low mileage. The Tiptronic S transmission makes this is a great candidate for relaxed commuting, but it can still excite on the next owner’s favourite B-roads as a fun weekend toy.
