2008 MASERATI GRANTURISMO - MC STRADALE BODYKIT

This 2008 Maserati GranTurismo is a smart example of the Italian grand tourer, presented with a menacing black finish and with various upgrades to give it a more aggressive aesthetic and enhanced performance. Under the bonnet sits a 4.2-litre V8 engine producing around 399bhp, coupled with a six-speed ZF automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 52,074 miles from new.

First registered in March 2008, this GranTurismo has five previous keepers on the log book. Its most recent private owner acquired the car in September 2016, and it is now offered for sale by the trade.

The bodywork of this GranTurismo remains in good order, with smooth panels and no evidence of previous damage. Most obviously, this Maserati has been upgraded with the fitment of a full MC Stradale body kit, giving the car significantly greater presence on the road. It has also been fitted with a custom CSK Race Exhausts stainless steel system, H&R lowering springs and refurbished brake callipers in Verde Mantis. The black paintwork has some minor stone chips surrounding the front end commensurate with the mileage, but otherwise it presents well. The tail lights have been swapped for smoked lens items. It rides on TSW 21-inch forged alloy wheels, which are in excellent condition.

Moving inside, the condition of the black leather upholstery is very good, with only some modest age-related creasing. The dashboard and door panels present well, and the floor mats also remain in good condition. While the ZF automatic transmission makes for a smoother experience than the later MC Shift automated manual, this car still comes with paddle shifters so that the driver can take full control. There is also, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, and satellite navigation, all of which is reported to work as it should.

The last service was undertaken in June 2020 at 51,116 miles by performance car specialist GC Motors in Harrogate, where technicians changed the car’s engine oil and filter. GC Motors also undertook the two prior services, in May 2019 at 49,769 miles and in August 2018 at 42,057 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 28 October 2020 at 51,948 miles, which resulted in a pass with one advisory to monitor worn rear tyres – though the vendor reports these have since been changed. The car now rides on Pirelli P Zero tyres on all four corners, which are reported to have between 4-5mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manual and service book in their factory leather case, along with a number of maintenance and service invoices.

This Maserati GranTurismo is a powerful and luxurious grand tourer, which has been transformed with the MC Stradale bodykit to show much more sporting intent. The lowering springs have given this GT a firmer and sharper setup, while the stainless steel exhaust is reported to be truly riotous – giving this stylish coupe a suitably vocal character. With a solid maintenance history, and in good order throughout, it would make a great companion for longer road trips or occasional weekend blasts.
