• Originally a Defender 90 Pick Up, this 4x4 has been extensively modified, most obviously with its conversion to Soft Top specification and with split doors featuring removable top sections to create a true open-air driving ambience.
• Refinished in striking Montalcino Red, this is complemented by ivory coloured 18-inch modular steel wheels, a heavy duty ivory hood frame, and a full re-trim in Tan leather.
• The Defender now also features a flyaway spare wheel carrier, tan soft top, a Startech front grille, Truck-lite headlights, and mud flaps.
• The wheels are shod with new Cooper STT Pro tyres.
• Inside, the car has been treated to a full re-trim by Lucari Design. This incorporates new tan leather for the front seat covers, cubby box, dashboard cowlings, and two new rear bench seats. There are also new floor mats, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
• The rear crossmember was replaced prior to the current ownership.
• Its transfer box, wiring and ECU was also been replaced as part of the refurbishment.
• Accompanying the car are the original books, with service book stamped up to 2012 and receipts thereafter. There is also paperwork on file covering the restoration, conversion and upgrade work.

CONDITION

• When the body was stripped, there was no evidence of any prior replacement panels, and any minor dings were carefully hammered out ahead of the respray.
• Renewed in smart Montalcino Red, the professional finish remains superb, with only one tiny mark on top of the rear tailgate from a slipped drill.
• Its fresh Lucari Design interior is in excellent condition, with no wear or damage whatsoever.
• There are no electrical or mechanical faults.
• The most recent MOT test was on 14 January 2021 at 87,218 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories or defects.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Last serviced in January 2021 at 87,218 miles by Trojan 4x4 in Carlisle, this included replacement of the rear crossmember and tank cradle, new brake discs and pads all round, new shock absorbers, replacement of a CV joint and drive member, and a new rear brake caliper - all at a cost of £1,747.
• In November 2020, the transfer box was replaced, while in March 2020 a new ECU was fitted. The EGR valve was renewed in December 2019; all with receipts in the file.
