2008 FERRARI 599 GTB FIORANO

This Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is a hugely capable super GT, with a handsome factory specification, and very low mileage. Under the bonnet is the mighty 6.0-litre ‘Tipo F140C’ naturally aspirated V12, producing 612bhp, coupled to the six-speed ‘F1 SuperFast’ automated transmission. The odometer shows just 20,832 miles.

First registered on 16 June 2008, this 599 has just two previous keepers on the log book, and was acquired by the vendor just three months ago. A copy of the original sales invoice accompanies the car, showing the list price in 2008 was £221,798.

Today, its bodywork and paint are reported to be in excellent condition, and the photo gallery below certainly illustrates a very well-presented example, with a glossy finish across the panels, and no obvious blemishes or marks. Even the front end appears to be remarkably clean. The car is fitted with Scuderia Ferrari wing shields, front and rear parking sensors, and rides on the 20-inch ‘Monolithic’ alloy wheels. It is equipped with the carbon-ceramic brake discs, which were standard equipment for the 2008 model year, and yellow painted callipers.

Inside, the Grigio leather upholstery gives this Ferrari a sophisticated ambience, and it is enhanced by the popular ‘Daytona’ style seat panels. The leather extends across the lower dashboard and door panels, while black leather trim appears on the top dashboard section, accented by blue special stitching. Leather is also used for the headlining, parcel shelf. The carbon-fibre Recaro sport seats feature full electric adjustment, while there is also carbon-fibre for the steering wheel, featuring LED shift lights. At the back of the car, the boot trim carpet appears slightly loose around the top edges of the aperture, though this should be relatively straightforward to reaffix. There are no known electrical issues, and no warning lights on the dashboard.

Its last scheduled maintenance was in November 2020 at 19,700 miles, with a full service carried out by Ferrari specialist QV London, including an engine oil and filter change, a new air filter, pollen filter, and fresh antifreeze. Given the very low mileage, this 599 has not received annual servicing, but has been attended to exclusively by Ferrari main dealers and specialists.

The most recent MOT test was on 10 July 2020 at 19,212 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories or defects. Testament to its superb condition, the car has never failed an annual inspection, and the only advisory about damage or wear was regarding a chip in the windscreen in 2013. The wheels are fitted with matching Pirelli P Zero tyres on all four corners, fitted around 1,000 miles ago, and which are still in excellent condition.

Accompanying the car is a complete book pack, including the stamped maintenance record, and a copy of the new vehicle invoice. The car’s VIP build book is also present, which documents its journey through the production process to the finished article. The original tools, servicing gloves, and tyre inflator also remain with the car, along with the Ferrari battery conditioner.

This Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is a great example of the marque’s flagship V12 of its era, boasting a tremendous naturally aspirated engine, and a cabin that blends a sporting focus with refinement and comfort. The 599 GTB offers superb performance in a sophisticated package, and this example would make a smart addition to any collection, not to mention an impressive grand tourer that is ready for weekend blasts and continent-crossing road trips alike.
