2008 FERRARI 430 SCUDERIA - LHD

This Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a thrilling motorsport-inspired road car, presented in incredible visual and mechanical condition. It is powered by the 4.3-litre flat-plane crank V8 engine, producing 503bhp, driven through the rear wheels via the six-speed ‘F1-SuperFast 2’ automated manual transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 75,473 kilometres (46,897 miles) from new.

The successor to the highly praised Challenge Stradale, the 430 Scuderia was equally well received, being described by CAR magazine as “quite simply the best road-legal, track-friendly supercar on sale today”.

An original left-hand-drive example, this Scuderia was first registered in November 2008 and supplied to its first owner by Forza SpA, Turin. It was specified with Rosso Scuderia paintwork, Grigio Corsa NART racing stripes, Nero brake callipers and full extended carbon fibre pack, including the front lower splitter, while the cabin is trimmed with Nero Alcantara with Rosso stitching. In 2015, it was imported into the UK and sold to its previous owner by Stratstone Ferrari of Wilmslow in August 2017. The logbook shows two previous keepers, and the car is now being offer for sale by the vendor.

The vibrant Rosso Scuderia paintwork and black-bordered Grigio Corsa racing strips are in excellent condition and have been enhanced with a full paint correction detail and ceramic coating. Paint protection film has also been applied to the front end, shielding it from stone chips and other damage. The body is accented with Scuderia Ferrari wing shields and carbon fibre door mirrors, which are in great shape, with no signs of chips or scratches.

The matte anthracite alloy wheels also present very well, housing subtle black brake callipers on the high-performance carbon ceramic brake discs. Its alloy wheels are shod with a fresh set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres in size 235/35 ZR19 at the front and 285/35 ZR19 at the rear.

Continuing the Scuderia’s pared-back theme, the cabin features special-order wider ‘Super Racing’ carbon fibre bucket seats trimmed in black Alcantara with ‘3D’ cloth centre panels, which are accented by red four-point harnesses, reflecting the body colour. Black Alcantara with red stitching also covers the dashboard, door pillars and headlining, while the door cards are crafted from exposed lightweight carbon fibre. The steering wheel is inlaid with carbon fibre and features LED shift lights, allowing the driver to identify the perfect moment to engage the single-clutch gearbox with its paddle shifters. Factory equipment includes a Giallo rev counter, electric windows and carbon fibre dashboard inlays.

This Scuderia is in outstanding mechanical condition and has been well-maintained by its current owner. Earlier this year, Ferrari specialists DK Engineering rebuilt the gearbox at a cost of more than £20,000, replacing the clutch at the same time. The front ceramic brake discs have also been replaced, as has the hydraulic actuator kit.

Its last full service, which included a drive belt replacement, was on 29 November 2019, carried out by Webster & Lancaster of Watford, Hertfordshire. Prior to this, it was serviced by Stratstone Ferrari of Wilmslow Cheshire, in March 2018 at 72,605 kilometres (45,115 miles) and in August 2017 at 72,563 kilometres (45,088 miles). The most recent MOT test was on 1 October 2019 at 73,172 kilometres (45,467 miles), which resulted in a pass with no advisories after a distorted offside front wheel was corrected.

Accompanying the car are its Schedoni leather wallet, Ferrari SPA service assistance documents, Ferrari service and sales directory, 430 Scuderia handbook, alarm system details, hi-fi system warranty card, owner’s warranty and service book, plus its key card, spare keys and the complete factory-supplied tool kit.

This Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a superb example of the focused and exceptionally rare road car, offering a fantastically analogue driving experience compared to many modern supercars. Its paintwork, interior and mechanical items have been fastidiously maintained by its previous owners, with a number of typically costly items having already been attended to. With its sharp colour scheme, sonorous Capristo exhaust and sharp single-clutch gearbox, this modern classic supercar will make a fine addition to any collection.
