2008 FERRARI 430 SCUDERIA - LHD

Finished in Rosso Scuderia with NART racing stripe, Oro wheels and Tessuto Rosso interior, this 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a sensational road car presented in superb condition. It is powered by a sonorous 4.3-litre flat-plane crank V8 engine producing 503bhp, driving the rear wheels via the six-speed ‘F1-SuperFast 2’ automated manual with paddle shift. This left-hand-drive example has covered 25,337 km (15,744 miles) from new.

Replacing the Challenge Stradale, the 430 Scuderia was launched to a wave of five-star reviews. CAR Magazine called it “quite simply the best road-legal, track-friendly supercar on sale today”, while Autocar stated: “F1 technology turns the F430 into one of the most exciting road cars we've ever driven”.

Originally delivered to Switzerland, this Scuderia was first registered on 4 March 2008 before being imported to the UK in June 2014. The car has had five previous owners, though there are two previous keepers on the V5C log book. The seller acquired it just over four years ago, and has enjoyed some 7,200 km behind the wheel since then.

The Rosso Scuderia paintwork is in excellent condition, with just some minor stone chips to the bonnet and front wings. The seller notes that the front bumper has previously been repainted, most likely to rectify earlier stone chips. As a Scuderia model, the car boasts carbon-fibre trim for the rear panel and wing mirrors, all of which is in superb order, and the gold 19-inch forged Scuderia wheels are in very good condition – with the exception of a small 3mm chip on one rear wheel. The Brembo brake calipers around the carbon-ceramic brake discs also present very well.

The interior is focused and continues the lightweight theme, featuring carbon-fibre bucket seats trimmed in a combination of Alcantara with Tessuto Rosso ‘3D’ technical cloth centre panels. All of the trim is in excellent condition, as you would expect in a low-mileage car, with only slight wear to the driver’s seat bolster. The first owner also opted for a fittingly pure specification without a radio. All of the switchgear and electrics work perfectly.

Over the last six years in particular, the car has received comprehensive maintenance at Ferrari main dealers and specialists. In March 2020, the car received new front lower ball joints, rear tie rod ends and lower rear shock absorber bushes by AV Engineering in Kent. Shortly afterwards, it had a full four-wheel alignment carried out at Dick Lovett Ferrari in Swindon.

Its last full service was at 25,019 km in October 2019, carried out by Dick Lovett. This two-year service included new engine oil and filter, new brake fluid, and replacement of the power steering fluid and gearbox oil. The two previous services were also at Dick Lovett, in May 2018 at 22,736 km, and in June 2017 at 21,236 km; the latter also including renewal of the auxiliary belts. In October 2019, the clutch wear reading was recorded at 28.8%, while the carbon-ceramic disc wear was at 19% - and the car has covered less than 400 km since then.

The last MOT test was on 19 June 2020 at 25,337 km, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. Four new Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres were fitted on 1 June 2020, and so are in as-new condition. Accompanying the car are all of the original books, a sales brochure, two keys, and the original tool kit and gloves.

This Ferrari 430 Scuderia is an excellent example of a highly focused limited-run road car, which boasts a wonderfully analogue driving experience when compared to many of the latest supercars. With low mileage and comprehensive recent maintenance history, this is a superb Ferrari that would be a great addition to any collection.
