2008 BMW (E60) M5

This BMW M5 is an exciting and sophisticated performance car, which set significant benchmarks for every contemporary super saloon that followed it. It is powered by the 500bhp 5.0-litre V10 engine, with rear-wheel drive via the seven-speed sequential manual gearbox (SMG). The odometer shows just 69,400 miles from new.

First registered in January 2008, the clear HPI report shows just three previous registered keepers. The seller has owned the car for just over five years, and has covered some 13,000 miles in that time. It has proved to be an exciting and reliable car during his ownership, and has been kept under extended warranty during that time for peace of mind.

Its bodywork is presented in good order, with no evidence of any accident damage or unsightly dents. The Interlagos Blue paint is a striking factory hue, and the seller reports only some minor nicks on the front of the bonnet, and a small chip on the nearside rear door. Otherwise, there may be a few small ‘road rash’ stone chips from road use, but the finish is smooth and glossy around the panels.

All of the light lenses are in good order, and the window surrounds feature the dark Shadow Line trim. It also has the correct and subtle M-specification rear bootlid spoiler, and retains the original exhaust with dual twin tailpipes. The car rides on 19-inch ‘Style 166’ BMW alloy wheels, which are in great shape.

Inside, the black leather upholstery is in excellent overall condition, with only modest wear in line with the age and mileage. The cabin is equipped with the M multi-function heated seats, which include active backrest width positioning and full electric adjustment, as well as memory settings. The three-spoke M steering wheel has tri-colour stitching, while the dashboard and doors are accented by brushed aluminium trim pieces.

Its specification also includes dual-zone climate control, push-button start, cruise control, adaptive xenon headlights, front and rear parking sensors, head-up display (HUD), and the BMW Professional media system with satellite navigation and six-disc CD changer. Above the front seats is an electrically-operated glass sunroof, which works perfectly.
