EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Introduced in 2007, the limited-production Renaultsport Clio 197 F1 Team R27 features unique decals on its flanks and bumpers, graphite grey alloy wheels, red brake calipers and a pair of supportive Recaro bucket seats.
• However, the real star of the show is the Cup chassis package, which sees the car’s ride height being lowered by 7mm, the dampers made 10 percent stiffer, and the front and rear springs being 27 percent and 30 percent firmer, respectively.
• This example is finished in the eye-catching hue of Ultra Red, and is also equipped with cruise control
• The car is unmodified, and the seller has recently replaced the gear knob and floor mats with new, genuine Renaultsport items.
• It will be supplied with its full original book pack and stamped service book, contained in their correct document wallet. The vendor states that the spare wheel kit is in as-new condition, and the original PDI sign-off sticker is still present on the battery cover.
• This car is now back on its original number plate of CV57 UWW.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• Protected by a ceramic coating which was applied in late 2019, the Ultra Red paintwork has a bright and glossy appearance and is in good overall condition, with various light swirl marks and stone chips around the car, in line with its road use.
• The mirror caps were repainted in 2019, and the seller suggests that the car’s next owner has the front bumper resprayed to bring it up to the same standard as the rest of the car.
• The 17-inch alloy wheels were also refurbished in 2019 and are in great shape, and while the rear wheels have since picked up a couple of small chips there are no kerb scuffs, scratches or other signs of damage.
• Inside, the cabin presents very well indeed, and while there is some minor wear on the driver’s seat base and bolsters this is in line with the car’s age and use.
• Furthermore, there is one small blemish on the steering wheel’s red stripe and some light marks on the grey painted panel surrounding the heater controls, which would benefit from being refinished.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical issues, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted in August 2021 and resulted in a pass with no advisories. However, as the test was carried out in Northern Ireland its result is not shown on the government MOT history website.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This R27’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in December 2019 at 38,457 miles by Studio 10 Car Care, who changed the engine oil, oil filter and brake fluid.
• Prior to this, the cam belt and water pump were changed in July 2019 at 37,676 miles by Chris Palmer Auto Services.
• As mentioned above, the seller had the front and rear brake pads replaced with Pagid items at 38,600 miles, and the front tyres were changed at 38,457 miles.
• The car’s previous keeper serviced the vehicle themselves between 2011 and 2019, but did not keep any record of the work carried out.

SUMMARY

This Renaultsport Clio 197 F1 Team R27 is a fine example of the hugely entertaining limited-edition hot hatch, presented in original, unmodified condition and with low mileage from new.
