This 2007 Mini Cooper S is a well-maintained example of an iconic hot hatch, which has been driven and enjoyed, and would now make a fun daily driver. Under the bonnet sits a supercharged 1.6-litre inline-four, upgraded with the JCW Tuning Kit to around 192hp, coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox. The odometer currently indicates 65,000 miles from new.

First registered in July 2007, this Cooper S comes equipped with the rare JCW tuning kit, featuring an upgraded exhaust manifold, air intake with a cone filter, a cat-back exhaust and an ECU remap.

The bodywork of this Mini is in good order, with no evident of prior accident damage. The Pepper White finish is very presentable for its age, with no major blemishes, and only small marks from road use that you would expect. There is also a chip on the nearside A-pillar adjacent to the windscreen glass. The John Cooper Works badging is present and correct, and the rest of the exterior trims are in good condition. The car rides on 17-inch alloys, which have some kerbing damage around the rims, so would benefit from refurbishment.

Moving inside, the cabin of this Mini Cooper S is upholstered with a combination of black leather and grey pinstripe cloth, presenting with just some typical wear to the bolsters from entering and exiting the vehicle. There are also some scuffs on the door sill kick plates. The steering wheel and gear knob are in good order, while the centre console and dashboard controls have some age-related wear – but all of the switchgear is reported to work as it should. The vendor notes the engine management warning light is currently illuminated due to a loose jubilee clip around a hose, which switches off when the hose is temporarily secured correctly, though the vendor notes the engine runs smoothly.

The last service was undertaken in July 2020 at 63,615 miles, where technicians at Acorn Garage in Fletching changed the engine oil, micro-filter, spark plugs and brake fluid. Prior to this, in November 2019 at 60,417 miles, a Halfords Autocentre carried out similar routine maintenance, including renewal of the fuel filter.

The most recent MOT test was on 16 July 2020 at 63,309 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. Over the course of its life to date, the car has never failed an MOT test. The tyres are all legal with around 4-5mm of tread, but some would benefit from replacement soon on the basis of age.

Accompanying the vehicle is the original handbook pack, along with a stamped service book, a number of receipts and the full tool kit.

This Mini Cooper S is a fun and stylish performance car, benefitting from the desirable JCW Tuning Kit, but otherwise remaining original and unmodified. It is supported by a solid maintenance history, and is in good order for its and mileage, ready for the next owner to save for occasional weekend jaunts or to be put into service as a dynamic daily driver.
