2007 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 HARD TOP

This Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top is a handsome example of the rugged 4x4, which has low mileage from new and is fitted with a number of desirable accessories. Under the bonnet is the 2.4-litre four-cylinder TDCI engine, which powers all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission with a lockable centre differential and selectable low-range gearing for optimal off-road performance. The odometer displays just 26,296km from new.

First registered on 23 April 2008, this right-hand drive Defender is currently located in Hong Kong, and was acquired by the seller one year ago. The car has only two owners from new. It will be de-registered upon export; however the successful buyer can easily acquire a BMIHT heritage certificate to act as proof of its manufacture if they wish to register it in the UK.

This Land Rover’s bodywork is in excellent condition, and is free of any accident damage, with only one small dent reported on the front passenger-side wing. Its freshly polished Indus Silver paintwork is also in good order, and while there are some minor blemishes near the rear number plate and slight bubbling of the finish around the passenger-side alpine window, these small issues do not detract from the vehicle’s impressive overall condition.

Adding both functionality and its rugged style, this example has been enhanced with a number of genuine Land Rover accessories, including a Defender-branded front A bar, front and rear light guards, side steps, a rear ladder, a snorkel, and black chequer plate panels on the sills and the tops of the front wings.

It rides on the correct set of 16-inch five-spoke ‘Boost’ alloy wheels, which are in great shape, with no significant marks, blemishes or kerb scratches.

In the famously functional and hardwearing cabin, this Defender’s seats are clad in their original black upholstery, and present very well. The interior plastics are also in excellent condition, with no scuffs or scratches visible on the door cards or dashboard; and the light grey headlining is also in good order.

Entertainment is provided via a Pioneer stereo head unit with USB connectivity, and this Defender also features factory-fitted air-conditioning for increased comfort during summer excursions. The seller reports that all of the buttons, switches and electrical items work without fault, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

Routinely maintained and with low mileage from new, this dependable Defender is said to be in strong mechanical order. Its most recent service was carried out in September 2020 at 25,500km when the engine oil and oil filter were changed.

Prior to this, oil services were performed in May 2018 and May 2019, and during the seller’s year of ownership the suspension bushes and headlights have also been replaced. The car’s last roadworthiness check was carried out in July 2020, and no faults were found.

All four alloy wheels are fitted with Continental CrossContact AT all-terrain tyres in size 235/85 R16, which date to 2012 and are described by the vendor as being in superb condition, with ample tread remaining

While the car’s handbook and service manual have unfortunately been lost, it will be supplied with its factory jack and wheel removal tools. The car is also supplied with two sets of keys.

This Land Rover Defender 90 is a clean, low-mileage example of the iconic ‘go-anywhere’ 4x4.
