This Ferrari F430 is a great example of a sophisticated and thrilling supercar, which boasts a handsome factory specification and relatively low mileage. Under the engine lid is a naturally aspirated 4.3-litre V8, producing 483bhp, driving the rear wheels via a six-speed ‘F1’ automated manual transmission. The odometer shows 31,201 miles.

The F430 was launched in 2004 as a successor to the Ferrari 360, and introduced substantial design and performance changes. This UK-market car was first registered on 23 March 2007, and is understood to have just two private owners from new. Having been off the road and carefully stored for the last four years, it is now offered for sale by the trade. While in storage, it has been periodically started and run to keep the engine in good order, and is currently having a fresh service at H.R. Owen.

Its bodywork is in great shape, with flush shut lines and no evidence of any prior damage. The Nero Daytona paint finish is also superb, with a very clean front end, and what appears to be only very small stone chips on the lower bumper. The wings are embellished with factory-fit Scuderia Ferrari shields, and it remains original and unmodified throughout. It is fitted with the 19-inch five-arm alloy wheels, which are in superb condition, and are complemented by yellow brake callipers.

In contrast to the dark exterior, the cabin is trimmed in bright and inviting Crema leather, extending across the door panels, transmission tunnel, and roof pillars, and accented by black contrast stitching. There is a small scuffed section of leather on the driver’s seat outer bolster, which could be inexpensively rectified by professional re-connolising. All of the switchgear is in good order, and the only modification is the addition of a more contemporary Alpine flip-out head unit stereo.

The F430 will be handed over following a fresh service at H.R. Owen, which is being carried out while the auction runs. As it was in storage for some time, the previous scheduled maintenance was carried out in October 2016 at 30,100 miles by Slade’s Garage in Buckinghamshire. Prior to this it was serviced in September 2015 at 27,909 miles by SB Race Engineering, and in June 2014 at 24,646 miles, again at Slade’s Garage. Being a chain-driven engine, there is no camshaft timing belt renewal to worry about with the F430's V8.

It is fresh from an MOT test carried out on 7 January 2021 at 31,201 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories or defects whatsoever. Both front tyres have just been replaced at H.R. Owen, and the rear tyres are still in good condition.

This Ferrari F430 F1 is a stunning modern supercar, benefiting from a smart factory specification, and ideally suited to someone who prefers their high-performance cars to look demure rather than extravagant. It was described by Evo magazine at launch as “Ferrari’s baby Enzo”, and the F430 is certainly a machine with seriously impressive outright pace and beautifully balanced handling. It is also one of the Italian marque’s most usable V8 models, and will no doubt delight its next owner whenever they choose to get behind the wheel.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Collecting Cars requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence where available. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details.

All UK-registered cars and motorbikes on Collecting Cars are run through an online HPI check. This vehicle shows no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and has no finance owing.

Nivarda

Hi,
As well as the service will H.R. Owen carry out a full health check? If so will all issues identified be rectified so that the car has a completely clean bill of health for the buyer? Could you also let me know clutch wear?
Thanks
