2007 FERRARI F430 F1

This 2007 Ferrari F430 is a sophisticated and thrilling supercar, which is presented in impressive condition and with low mileage. Its engine is a rear mid-mounted 4.3-litre V8 which produces 483bhp, driving the rear wheels via a six-speed ‘F1’ semi-automatic gearbox and an electronic limited-slip differential. The odometer shows just 18,516 miles from new.

Launched in 2004 as a successor to the Ferrari 360, the F430 introduced substantial design and performance changes. This UK-delivered example was first registered on 1 March 2007 and has just two previous registered keepers on its log book. The seller has enjoyed it for the past six years and has covered 9,000 miles in that time.

The car’s elegant aluminium bodywork presents very well, with no signs of accident damage. It is finished in the rarer Rosso Scuderia paint hue, which is believed to be all original, and is described by the seller as being in very good condition, with only small stone chips to the front end. The headlight lenses are also well presented and are free of chips and hazing. This F430 rides on its original 19-inch silver ‘five twin spoke’ wheels, which are all in great shape. It is fitted with the optional carbon-ceramic brake discs.

Looking to the interior, the seats, dashboard and door cards are trimmed in Nero leather with contrasting red stitching, all of which is described as being in good condition, with no significant wear to speak of, and just some slight creasing to the driver’s outer seat bolster, commensurate with the car’s age. The cabin also features red carpeting throughout, protected by black floor mats with rubber heel pads. There is optional carbon-fibre trim across the dashboard and around the central HVAC controls, and a Giallo rev counter.

As this F430 was specified with Ferrari’s ‘F1’ semi-automatic transmission, it features paddle shifters – also finished in carbon-fibre – and is the first model to include the ‘Manettino’ dial, allowing the driver to select their preferred level of intervention from the stability and traction control systems, as well as damper stiffness, gear shift speed and throttle response.

The car has been fitted with an aftermarket Pioneer stereo head unit, which includes a fold-out screen for satellite navigation functionality. Its original Ferrari-branded torch is still present in the glove box, and the original tool case can be found in the front boot. The seller notes that there are no issues with the switchgear and electrical items, with everything being in good working order.

This car has been very well looked after from new, exclusively by Ferrari main dealers and service centres. Its last scheduled maintenance was carried out in January 2019 at 17,607 miles by HR Owen in London, which carried out a full annual service. Prior to this, services were carried out in January 2018 and January 2017 at the same dealer.

In addition, during the seller’s ownership, the valve variators have been changed and high-grade Capristo exhaust manifolds have been fitted, enhancing the car’s soundtrack. The original manifolds are also included in the sale. Being a chain-driven engine, there is no camshaft timing belt renewal to worry about with the F430's V8.

Its last MOT test was carried out on 11 January 2020 at 17,817 miles, where the car received a first-time pass with no advisories. Since its first MOT this F430 has only failed once, in October 2013, due to a lack of reserve travel in the parking brake lever – and has never received a single advisory note beyond this.

The front wheels are shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres measuring 225/35 ZR19, which were fitted in May 2020 and are essentially as-new. The rears are Pirelli P Zero items in size 285/35 ZR19, and still have a good level of tread remaining. The car is accompanied by all of its original handbooks, the stamped service book, plus its factory-supplied accessories.

Described by Evo magazine at launch as “Ferrari’s baby Enzo” the F430 is a modern classic supercar with impeccable credentials, deeply impressive performance, and timeless Pininfarina styling.

This Ferrari F430 coupe is a superb example of one of Ferrari's most useable V8 models. It is equally well-suited to a collector looking for a very low mileage example, as to an enthusiast whose priority is a superb car that is ready to use and enjoy.
