2007 FERRARI 612 SCAGLIETTI HGTS

This Ferrari 612 Scaglietti HGTS is a beautiful contemporary grand tourer, presented in a timeless factory colour scheme and benefitting from an extensive recent service. Under the elegant bonnet is the 5.7-litre ‘Tipo F133’ V12 engine, which produces 532bhp and drives the rear wheels via a six-speed ‘F1A’ semi-automatic transmission. The odometer indicates just 29,370 miles from new.

First registered in November 2007, this 612 Scaglietti was specified with Grigio Silverstone paintwork and a Nero leather interior, and is equipped with the optional HGTS package, which includes 19-inch split-rim alloy wheels, a sports exhaust system, and a sport-tuned transmission and suspension components. In addition, this 612 was also fitted with Scuderia wing shields, yellow brake callipers, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a premium Bose sound system with phone integration, and a yellow rev counter.

Acquired by the seller eight years ago, there are five previous keepers on the V5C. It has been kept under a cover in a heated garage when not in use during their ownership, with no expense being spared on its maintenance and servicing.

The bodywork is in excellent condition, with no known prior damage and straight and flush panels. Having been resprayed four years ago, the Grigio Silverstone paintwork has a smooth and glossy appearance around the car, though there are some stone chips and small scuff marks on and under the front bumper. All of the light lenses are in great shape, and the glass is also in good order, with no chips or cracks. The optional HGTS 19-inch modular alloy wheels present very well, with only minor kerb scratches on the edge of the front driver’s-side item.

Moving inside, this 612 Scaglietti’s cabin is trimmed in Nero leather, which is accented by light grey stitching. The hide is in good order, with general age-related creasing to the ‘Daytona’ seats’ upholstery, but no signs of damage. The leather covering the dashboard is slightly coming away from its backing just behind the windscreen air vent, which is a common foible of the 612. Elsewhere, there are only a few minor scratches to the button surfaces, and some slight ‘stickiness’ on the driver’s seat’s memory buttons. Overall, the interior is in very good condition though, commensurate with its low mileage.

Factory-fitted equipment includes electrically adjustable front seats with memory settings for the driver, automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, cruise control, satellite navigation, and a premium Bose sound system. The vendor states that all of the car’s buttons, switches and electrical items work without fault, and there are no warning lights in the dashboard.

Very well-cared for by its current owner and routinely maintained, this wonderful Italian grand tourer is said to remain in superb mechanical condition, and is supplied with a comprehensive main dealer service history from new.

Its most recent routine maintenance was carried out in July 2020 at 29,077 miles by Ferrari main dealer Meridien Modena. This including changing the power steering fluid, F1 transmission oil, the brake fluid and the cam cover gaskets; while the brake fluid reservoir servo pipes, parking sensors and windscreen where also replaced, at a total cost of £13,000.

Prior to this, annual services were performed by Meridien Modena in August 2019 at 27,000 miles and August 2018 at 25,448 miles, when the cambelts and nearside rear wheel bearing were replaced, and the brake callipers were overhauled. The cambelts will not be due for renewal again until August 2023. Furthermore, during the seller’s ownership, the tyre pressure sensors have been replaced and a new battery was fitted in 2019.

The car’s latest MOT test was conducted on 5 August 2020 at 29,101 miles. This resulted in a first-time pass with advisories noting slight play in the nearside and offside suspension arms’ ball joints, as well as slight play in the offside front track rod end ball joint. It was also noted that the inner edges of both of the front tyres were worn.

All four alloy wheels are shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres, which were fitted in 2018. The vendor notes that there is 6-7mm of usable tread remaining on the rear items and 5-6mm on the fronts, though they are more worn on their inner edges as noted during the car’s MOT test, and would likely benefit from replacement in the near future.

This 612 will be accompanied by its service book and other original user guides. Significantly, it also includes a full set of 612 Scaglietti leather luggage by Schedoni, which remains unused and would have cost £8,000 when new.
